Divorce rates are high because people overract in little agruments or they lose their phsyical attraction to each other.

Another big reason for the high divorce rate is a lot of people marry soley on looks and not on personality. They find out in 2-3 years that they can't stand living with that person and they break up.

My mom and dad got a divorce mostly because of my dad's drinking problems. All in all, I think they wanted to stay together because of me and my brother still living with them but it wasn't working out. My mom still helps pay and she lives about 2 blocks away from us.

Not all divorce is bad, but you are right; the divorce rate is through the roof.
