WOW...

You're putting lots of work into this thing....thank you for that.

One question: How many points will the expected top-rookies average?

Miller won't torch you...hopefully ;-) This will be a season/franchise patch if I can get everything working right.

Joe,

Would it be possible for a public beta test? I would be more than happy to. I play Franchise more than I play Exhibition. Feel free to e-mail them to me at

If you don't want to, that's fine with me, but it is shaping up to be a nice roster release.[/code]

I might, I've still got more work then I thought ahead of me. I'm still not completely finished with ratings as I'm tinkering with them after playing with teams.

If you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you make a new salary file (you're referring to the salary.ini file right?) If you ain't giving away your secrets i'd understand.

I didn't make a new one, it's not a secret as I will release it with the patch I just edited some fields and hopefully I can get my player progression scheme to work to where free agents will be paid correctly. I'd rather not explain it now hopefully I can show you soon though.

Looking at a late release tonight hopefully, i'm on pacific time 3:50 here right now I'm going through things one more time and I'm moving FAs back to their teams until I know exactly where they're going but 90% sure things such as Payton Malone and Zo Kidd Jermaine are done.

It's coming, i've got a few things to work out (Gilbert Arenas wants to sign for 500,000 no matter what :x)

I just wanted to pop in here and post that I've added something else, position specific salaries. What I mean by that is say you have a free agent C and SG of the same rating, size is generally valued more and teams are willing to pay more so chances are the center will be asking for more money than the SG. This also helps fluxate other salaries so trades are possibly more flexible due to the new free agent salaries.

Anyways i'm going to try and have it up tonight, i said Saturday late well it's 10pm i've got two hours. I'll try and get it done. Thanks!

Edit

It appears some guys just have their mind set to what they will and will not sign for. Arenas will sign somewhere in real life and I'll update the roster then.

Fellow members,

I was fortunate enough to test a release canidate of this roster. Simulated statistics are EXCELLENT, however, standings are as if they were using a tweaked roster.

The salary system and development system is incredible!

I will post some stats from a game later on...

did u test to see that after commencing the 2nd franchise season, the ratings didn't go all wack,
eg. kg didn't go from overall of 95 in season 1 to 65 in season 2?
why i bring this up , is thats wat happens in tweak rosters, and yeh...

Jowe,

Ratings didn't change at all actually. The ratings are lower to start off with. Jason Kidd for example, he's an 81 when he should be in the 90's. I think that's what's wrong with the standings.

I've still got some fine tuning to do, but I tested this today, Duncan started out at a 89 then went to a 83 and rose back up to a 85, players like Parker dropped a few points but for the most part stayed steady while the older players seemed to drop off more.

By The Way I Didn't Notice J Kidd Was That Low, I'll Fix That! I'm making one final run through for final ratings and things of that sort.

Looks like ole reggie is back to his old tricks, ill lower his primacy more for the final release...He still can shoot I mean there isnt a doubt about it but he's not the main guy they goto anymore unless its crunch time and they need a 3 ball.

Thats not a problem i'll let you know what I'm doing right now

 Revising Standings

Going through and editing to get more accurate standings so Cleveland isn't the best team in the league.

 Final Ratings For This Version

Making sure some guys aren't rated too low

 Release Date

Sometime Today I've Only Got A Few Teams Left.

Edit:

After I release I'm going to change the thread topic to questions and suggestions so you can give me input.

Even with the fixed standings the crappy teams seem to win and the good teams lose...If anyone has a fix for this or knows of a solution shoot it my way
