3 hours of chopping up audio files of office sounds fucking sucks. Which of these 12 photocopier samples sounds the most realistic? How high should it sit in the mix? Is it masking other shit? Do I need to EQ it? Fuuuucking teeeedious.

The job application drought continues -- month #6 now. :(

I applied as a programmer trainee in a well-known firm and passed the written exam and first interview last Saturday. I was contacted yesterday to come over the following day to take another exam and if things go well -- the final interview.

So what happened was, the second exam is the same exam as the first one -- the only difference is the second one is done on a website. So I answered the second exam with mostly the same ones I answered on the first exam, and the personnel told me that I failed the second exam and probably my application for the post seems doomed now.

What I don't understand is, why take the same exam twice, and why is it the computerized exam seems to weigh even more than the written exam even if the questions are identical. :shake:

Frequency training fucking sucks. Pure tones are the devil's sound. If anyone ever tells you to start frequency training, punch them in the face/balls.

Everything sounds so loud right now!

Fashion Tips for Men:

You should never shave half your head. You look like a fucking sleazebag with that nasty mohawk.

You should also never frost your tips. You look like a coked-up, retard, fuck face, date rapist.

You should also learn about color matching/clashing. And that UFC shirts look disgusting.

You should never wear a backward baseball cap (especially not one that's slightly askew). Do you think you're in a hip hop video from the early '90's? Fuck off.

You should not get neck tattoos of any kind, ever. Unless you're Chris Andersen.

The more facial piercings you have, the harder it is to take you seriously. Just so you know.

If you're wearing a collared shirt, button that shit up.

If you have classy looking dress shoes, wear classy looking dress pants. Jeans don't fucking count.

Buy clothes that fit!

Don't grow a goatee! Seriously, don't do it. Full beard or mustache, no goatees.

/rant

Man, I wish people would learn how to fucking dress.

Ah well, I'm sure you're allowed more crazy hairstyles over there. I think Aussies are a bit more conservative especially in my chosen field.

In here, long hair = criminal

At least that's what my former professor ranted to me for having one.

Oh true... I thought Asian country would allow for more crazy hairstyles. Maybe that's only Japan where all the guys look like girls.

I guess if I had a mohawk in Hong Kong, people would think I'm triad.

Add Korea to that.
It's a vicious cycle of Koreans imitating Japanese fashion while the Japanese do the same with Korean fashion.

Me and my buddy from Korea were talking bout this last week. He reckons Koreans are starting to be more masculine... so maybe they are bucking out of the trend. Japanese still look like girls.

Yeah, wouldn't expect you to. I know people who can't tell the difference between Caucasians. Some can't tell difference between Africans.

I think really depends how exposed you are to the different people and the more exposed you are, the more you are able to tell certain features apart.

But some employers here still accept people with crazy hairstyles. Err...
