But if MVP award was to be handed out tomorrow, it would be KD. With Paul George as a not so close second.
If OKC and KD continue to play like they do now, I don't See any reasons why KD shouldn't win MVP.

So to recap, the last four games, KD is averaging 30+ on 60-60-90. Alright then.

Pfft averages. Chauncey Billups once did 60-60-90 every game for five straight games.
I don't think he averaged 30 points with it however...

Why was that not an offensive foul?
Sat Dec 21, 2013 2:29 pm
Because the attacker was already in the air?

LeBron hadn't left the ground, but McLemore clearly has a foot on the line. But let's ignore him being in inch away from making a tremendous defensive play, and mock him for getting dunked on instead. This is why the NBA is unbearably boring.
Meanwhile, Dwight Howard misses a layup, fumbles the rebound out of court, and jogs back grinning. Douchebag.

What?

Nasty. Certainly very close to being an offensive foul at the very least, credit to McLemore for putting his body on the line like that. Sometimes, you just end up on the wrong end of a spectacular play.

You missed the point. Averages are not all that.
A player can go for 50 pts in a game then 10 pts in the next one and still average 30 pts or shoot 20/25 in a game then 10/25 in the next and still have 0.600 FG (30/50)
Chauncey may have not averaged 30 pts, his points during that streak was 18-30, but he did a REAL 60-60-90
every game for
five straight games unlike Durant who shot below 0.500 FG, 0.900 FT, and had 0.500 3s in some of the games in his streak.

Nice vid. The Blazers are one of the teams that I'm rooting for this season. I especially love Lillard kid. His improvement from his rookie year is just out of this world. He's already better than Wall or Kyrie's ever been. Remember this thread? (yep, I picked Lillard then

)
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90114No discussion now, Lillard's on another level. If he keeps on improving to his 3rd and 4th season, you might be looking at a true franchise caliber point guard.
This brings up the question... what areas of his game do you guys think he can improve for next couple years? Players usually peak in their 4th or 5th season then maintain prime for next 7-8 years.

okay

When Lillard starts making better decisions while taking it to the paint (His FG% too low at the rim) then he will be scary. Right now he can get to the rim a lot but usually forces up tough layups that keep rolling out. Once he gets that smoothed out he will be on that next level offensively.

I don't know what's wrong with the Mavs right now but we need defense..... fast

The Pacers didn't get to play in the Christmas, lol. Instead we saw BKN and CHI, lol. And it's a joke BOS also got snubbed for Christmas game, lol.
I watched Rockets vs Spurs, wow. It was a good one. I was expecting a late game surge from the Spurs but Harden caught fire. Terrence Jones also looked splendid.

Chris Paul could have won the game for the Clippers if only he wasn't a bitch expecting the refs to bail him out every time he drives to the basket.
Fri Dec 27, 2013 7:11 am
He should know by now that ending a game on freethrows is not going to happen. He can beat most of his defenders. Drive to the paint, step back, knock it down, win the game.

The NBA
admits Griffin's double-tech ejection was wrong.
Rod Thorn, the NBA's president of basketball operations, said: ''After a league review of the Clippers-Warriors game, we have come to the conclusion that Blake Griffin should not have been ejected from the game.
A common foul should have been called on Griffin for initially attempting to dislodge the Warriors' Andrew Bogut and a technical foul should have been assessed to Bogut for grabbing Griffin by the shirt and wrestling with him.''
As always, it's good to see them admit to a mistake, but since referee penalties aren't publicised, it comes off as a somewhat hollow gesture.

Has there ever been a more clear demonstration of the way the NBA is called than Griffin getting tossed mere hours after LeBron was no-called for hanging on the rim for fifteen seconds?
Fri Dec 27, 2013 1:50 pm
I think Griffin being a ginger has something to do with the refs treatment of him.

Griffin does get away with his fair share of what probably should be offensive fouls on some of his "poster" dunks, but yeah, that was a good example of the inconsistency in NBA officiating.

James Harden: 2/9, 27 points.
What.
