NBA 2K25 Bug Reports

This is our unofficial bug report topic for NBA 2K25. Post any technical issues you're having with the game, and we'll do our best to shoot the feedback along to the development team. Please keep all posts constructive, civil, and on-topic. It's also best to be as detailed as possible. Here's a template to help you add all of the relevant information:

Details such as error messages, what you were doing when the bug occurred (in case there are specific steps or scenarios to recreating it), and any other information will better help the developers track down and resolve issues.

Also, a few things to keep in mind...

What IS a bug

A mode or feature that isn't working as intended. This includes issues such as game crashes, data not saving (or being suddenly erased), non-functioning menus, weird behaviour and glitches during gameplay, and the like.

What ISN'T a bug

Anything that's working as intended, but you simply don't like or agree with. This includes player ratings that you disagree with, a feature you don't care for, an outdated face/hairstyle, and so forth. That's all valid feedback, but they aren't bugs, so they don't belong in this topic. Feel free to post them in other topics discussing feedback about NBA 2K25.

No Mod-Related Bug Reports

This is for bugs that are related to the game itself, not any community-made mods. If you need help with a mod, ask the person who made it. If you're experiencing crashes or glitches after installing mods, then troubleshoot the mod itself. Don't report it as a bug here.

No Help with Pirated Copies

NLSC don't supported pirated games here, and if you're having problems with a pirated game...well, you get what you paid for! If you ask for help with a pirated copy, or post a bug report that reveals you pirated the game, it's grounds for an immediate ban. That rule's been in effect for well over a decade here at the NLSC, so don't say you weren't forewarned.

The bug/problem: scorebug on 21:9 ultra wide screen is centered and doesnt show up as it should (i guess)

Any other details that might help: disabling UI scale mostly fix it, but then all the UI elements are deformed

Game Mode: Start-Up (I've uninstalled & reinstalled and it still doesn't boot up)

The bug/problem: After multiple attempts to lower graphics settings (I raised them in-game then relaunched), I cannot get past the NBA/WNBA logo screen any longer as my CPU usage goes up to 100%

Any other details that might help: RTX 3060, Threadripper 1950x

The bug/problem: Unretiring players in off-season causes them to disappear. They are not to be found anywhere in free agent pool or nba when the new season starts.

I've had 2 bugs to report thus far:

Platform: PC

Game Mode: Menu (Roster/Draft Class Creation)

Problem #1: The game won't let me save my new roster or draft class that I just created. After typing in the name I want to save it as and hitting 'done', the screen glitches and takes me right back to the 'name this file' section. If I press B to back out and 'exit without saving' and look for my new roster or draft class, it's not saved anywhere.

Problem #2: Game Mode (in an actual game, MyEras) About 3 or 4 times during the course of a game, my entire screen just goes black for about 1 second, but the action and sound continue. Then it comes right back as if nothing happened. This hasn't happened to me on any other PC game I've run or on any Xbox X game I've run on the same monitor, so I don't feel as though it's a PC or monitor issue, but a 2K25 issue.

Details: My PC specs are great and run the game incredibly smoothly, save for that random 'blackout'. (Though I will say that this game seems to raise the temp of my PC like no other game)

Game Mode: only tested in Bird/Magic, Jordan and Kobe Era, but probably a global problem

The bug/problem: Rotations in the gameplan (i.e. avanced playtime assignments on the 48-minute chart) are ignored by automatic substitutions.

Any other details that might help: I've tried several combinations of options that could possibly influence how subs are handled. No luck so far. No matter what I do, the AI just ignores the rotation I have set up.

Game Mode: only tested in Bird/Magic, Jordan and Kobe Era, but probably a global problem

The bug/problem: Offensive playcalling set to "auto" will just call the same 1-3 plays over and over again.

Any other details that might help: I have set up a playbook with some plays taken out and others added. The playbook is selected in my gameplan and I can call all of the plays in there manually, if they have been assigned to a player. In my coach settings, I have "run plays" set to 99 and pretty balanced distribution of the kind of plays that should be run. But the Auto AI will only run the same play over and over again. When I sub out my point guard that doesn't have this play assigned, it will run another play he can run, but repeat this one. I also have checked that freelance mode is set to "do not repeat on success" just to be sure.

The bug/problem: Changing the upper release animation does not do anything, only lower/base will have an effect

Game Mode: MyNBA/2K learn freestyle

The bug/problem 1: Halftime show with Shaq, Ernie and Kenny is capped at 30fps no matter which settings chosen although all other offline modes run uncapped

The bug/problem 2: The Intro videos pre match are still glitched as it was on prior old gen 2Ks (glitched shooting animations and net physics)

The bug/problem 3: Custom roster not selectable in 2K learn freestyle and MyNBA playoffs mode

The bug/problem: After quarter, scoreboard come back with SHOT CLOCK instead of GAME TIME.

Any other details that might help: If i save the game and loading, in the middle of the match, bug solved, until you finish the room and come back again.

The bug/problem: The Seattle SuperSonics have cheerleaders dressed in OKC colours and clothing once the cheerleaders are available during games.

Any other details that might help: Yeah it's pretty immersion breaking

Game Mode: MyCareer

The bug/problem: When I play the final series (4th) of street ball (co-op mode), I encounter the second team again after beating the fifth team and it loops everytime, never ends.

Any other details that might help: When I beat the fifth team I should play with the last team, however it gets back to second team again and repeat the order, it never ends.

Game Mode: Play Now, MyNBA, Playoff, Season... when playing game and reaching half time.

The bug/problem: When I play games vs CPU and the half time show starts. The score board/box score within Halftime show is grey and glitched.. plus Ernie, Shaq, Kenny segment is like fast forwarded.. almost at a 10x speed they just move around and voice over is normal but ends and then goes into a black screen until I hit enter or A on the controller to begin the second half.

I can never watch the half time show.

Question: Anyone else experiencing what I am experiencing as per below description? Just wondering if it is my PC or is it the game?

Mode: (so far) Play Now mode

The bug/problem: Game crashes randomly however I've been noticing it seems related to Ray-Tracing being ON but I could be wrong.
I could play 2 full games back-to-back (never got time to play more than 2 games) without crash when Ray-Tracing is OFF (everything else on Ultra except the Clothing Simulation being OFF).

The crash normally happened either during body contact (you or the CPU driving in with body contact) or during Free Throw when player face being zoomed-in (it doesn't crash immediately but give it couple of seconds) or even when you just left it in Pause mode for a while (then when you're back, you'll be presented with error code pop-up box instead of the Pause mode game).

And I've also noticed AMD FSR is far superior than the Nvidia DLSS even though my GPU is Nvidia; the micro stutter especially during fast break or the 4th quarter (when the lighting is massive) is no longer present. Not sure if this is because they (2K) has patched this issue.

• 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
• 1TB NVMe m.2. SSD (plenty of space, like 70% free space)
• 3070 GPU

Monitor: Dell S2721DGF

Game Settings:

• 2560 x 1440 resolution
• AMD FSR
• Ray Tracing On & Ultra
• Everything else Ultra except Clothing Simulation being Off
• V Sync On

Any other details that might help: I'll include the screenshot of the "Nvidia" error code when I see one next time.

The stat overlay of a player, e.g. Ewing with x points and rebounds reads "FG's" instead of "FG" or "FGs"...basketball and the NBA helped me learn English, and it hurts when AAA games are affected by such mistakes..."I bought many CD's"...no, "CDs"...plural s, not the the apostrophe for possessive nouns.

Myera -> modern (maybe in other modes too) -> trades and signing free agents is turned off...everything is set to manual, but still my Knicks sign Fournier and Winslow at the start of the season. I tried multiple times, but always got these two players against my will.

Unfortunately that's by design to ensure rosters are full across the league.

I cant boot the game anymore. quite literally prior to the update the MOST i could do was boot via windows explorer running as admin. (i've never been able to launch via steam) now all that happens is i get to the jason tatum EAC screen then some error sllnit() failed with error code 0x8 the dlss options will be disabled. yall i swear i dont know what to do.

I recently noticed that on Tracy McGrady's player card, it claims in his stats that he averaged ~5 steals per game for his career. Is this an intentional easter egg? Because this is literally false, he never averaged these numbers... im on ps4 btw

Same thing for me too, I verified the integrity of the files, but the game does not go beyond the initial screen of team logos
