Philadelphia 96, San Antonio 91
Unlucky Spurs
SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 28 (Ticker) -- San Antonio almost won this game but they weren't lucky at the end, or maybe the Sixers were.
It was a low-scoring 1st quarter, at the end the score was tied, 19 to 19. The 1st bucket of the game was an impressive alley-oop, Parker to Finley. (to be honest it was totally lucky, because I didn't want to do the alley-oop for him, but for Nesterovic...
) Nesterovic was impressive, grabbing 6 rebounds. Finley scored 6 points and was again great offensively. Parker dished 3 assists for the Spurs. Allen Iverson scored 11 points of the 19 scored by the 76ers. The C-Webb/AI 1-2 Punch worked perfectly because Webber added 3 rebounds and 2 assists to his stats, leading both of these categories.
During the 2nd quarter, Bruce Bowen, coming from the bench, was hot, scoring 2 3 point shots, and few lay-ups. He helped a lot during this quarter but it wasn't enough to allow the Spurs to lead at the end. The Sixers were leading by 1, 44-43. Manu Ginobili reached the 10 points bar at the end of the 1st half.
In the 3rd quarter, San Antonio finally took the lead, thanks to Parker and Duncan, grabbing rebounds and giving assists. Manu Ginobili also scored points. Iverson scored 7 points during this quarter.
In the 4th Iverson was unstoppable. He scored 13 points during the 4th. Duncan's efforts weren't enough. Philaldelphia got the win on road, once again against the Spurs.
