NBA 2k9 Bugs and Glitches Thread

I got the weirdest bug. I just finished my season and Baron Davis won the MVP(Best player on team with best record? He definitely didn't have MVP worthy stats). The bug is that when I first viewed the awards, it showed him as the MVP, and Mike Dunleavy won coach of the year. Once I went into the playoffs, I checked the season awards again and Lebron James was the player that was shown as the MVP, and Maurice Cheeks as the coach of the year.

This is really a strange one. Let's hope that there will be a patch.

I'm not sure if it should be considered as a bug, but sometimes, when I put a player on trading block right before the Traning Camp (at the end of off-season), I get some strange and funny offers like Bynum + Foster for Moon; Yao+Varejao for Moon, Bosh + Humphries for Moon. Also Carmelo + Kleiza + 1st round pick for Peja. What is more, Paul+West for Marvin Williams. Still, this "cheating" is quite fun sometimes.

intentional fouls glitch anyone?

even when the intentional foul is activated, the refs never call a foul on it...

While playing the quick game today using the Lakers, I had bynum throw a bullet pass to fisher who is already way past half court. I was already on my way to make the quick lay in, when behold doc rivers steps in to the court to thwart my scheme. I've uploaded the video here. Instead on Rivers getting a tech, I was adjudged as stepping out of bounds.

After scoring pts, the ball is not taken by the opposite team it remains under the basket on the parquet(sometimes goes out of bounds after dunk for e.g.). And then I can take the ball again and score 2 more pts....and then again and again and again.All I do is just stand,throw, catch, throw,catch throw...sometimes I miss of course...I scored nearly 40 pts during one offensive. It's kinda fun, but it's not basketball anymore.

Eda That´s the inbound glitch. The only way to get it to work again is to quite 2K9 and delete your settings file.

I downloaded the demo from steam and every time it starts I hear the sounds but it ends up restarting my computer. Please help, thanks

I have some real problem everytime i start a game every cind of game my players are naked some time they are bodyless they only have heads , the rim doesn't have net it's affuel .everytime when i score i point it goes to normal and after 2-3 seconds it's the same again !!!

Looks like your graphic card does not support shaders 3.0. If you just hear the sound but the computer reboots or you get a black screen your graphic card is not good enough to run the game.

I get a weird graphics glitch related to the jerseys on Ultra High mode where, after a while of playing, it'll suddenly look like it's flashing back and forth between the moving jerseys of ultra high settings and the static jerseys of high textures. It looks pretty weird in game, like the jerseys are blinking or something.

Also, on certain MSAA and MSAA quality settings, there's a really weird graphics glitch. It usually goes away when i alt+tab out and back in. Here are a couple screens of it.

try with instaling the new directx 9.0c (november 2008) i had the same problem and i think this is the cure (for me)

well your wrong i have 7900 gs 512mb 256 bit and it supports the shader 3.0
but i found whats wrong i have updated my directx and it works fine here's teh dirtectx linkh

Presentation settings doesnt work,shut off both replays and pp cuts but still keep showing up

Are you talking about the deadball highlights or the action replays where they show the replay of what had just happened on the court? Make sure you save those settings, or your association, or whatever mode you are using. I've turned of both and I don't see them anymore.

It's more a technical issue than bug/glitch, but I don't want to start a new topic.

The thing is I just can't play the game normally. First, when I launch the game I see the communicate "Cannot create a save on disk. Save failed" or something like that. My profile isn't saving, I can't also save any game mode, sliders or button configuration.

When I play the game, after the 1st quarter I can see one team talking with its coach and it's lasting forever. Nothing else happening, nothing I can do. When I try to quit the game and go to main menu/another game mode, it freezes.

You will probably think I'm trying to play a pirated game. No. It's 100% original, just received today from England (bought online, in Poland it hasn't gone out) and it was in the box and foil, looks like it hasn't been touched before.

After the installation (which went all fine) when I experienced the problem for the first time, I thought about registering the game in steam with the code from the back of booklet in box. I did it, but steam said that it's registered already and I don't have to do it again.

Just might add I have no experience with steam or 2k games. Maybe it's a stupid question, but I can't manage to solve the problem myself.

Just a minor bug, goaltendings seem to be pretty messed up at times.
Because I'm an "eager" rebounder, I get a lot of them (and shot interferences on offensive rbds), and many times the ball is not anywhere close to the rim when the referee calls the goaltending. But yesterday, it was the other way around, I blocked a shot with Petro and the ball was clearly on its descending phase, yet nothing was called.

Basically only accounts with English letters can save game data from 2k9.

e.g. team vs. Toronto... -> drills -> the stats of the fourth quarter vs. Toronto are messed up.

Lol no problem man, Just looking out for my fellow 2K9 PC brothers. We have suffered enough with the poor NBA LIVE PC games so we're all in this together.

Although the game is rather well-done, there are still some annoying graphic glitches.

e.g. Two small parts of the jersey flicker of your team's shooting guard flicker when the cpu team shoots freethrows.

Some freethrow shooters touch their thighs and their hands disappear.
Several bodyparts disappear during the dunk contest, e.g. when a dunker is sitting on a chair and then stands up.

I think I also had Dwight Howard sit there, stand up and walk a bit just to sit again in the next cutscene...and then his dunk attempt started.

They REALLY need to change the way they handle Association prospects appearances.
