Get a new cpu, it's probably cheaper than upgrading.

What?

a 8600 gt 256/512 MB DDR3 will do the job

video, definitely video... If you can spend more... an HD4850 or an 8800Gt will probably give you the max experience on your rig...

It wouldn't hurt to add some ram if you can afford another gig or two.

what if I change only my video card to say like Nvidia 8200 0r 8600 will I be able to play the game in high settings or do I really need to improve my ram?

i would urge you to buy (If you have enough budget) a geforce 9800gt or a HD 4850 Or an HD 4870(which is cheaper and has a good specifications) i believe your from philippines right?

I vote you go for an HD4850 or 9800gt... if budget is tight, look up the HD3850... I got mine really cheap. If you plan to play the game with the full settings (meaning also, you are going to play it on 1920x1050), don't settle for anything less than what kris suggested. I'm playing 2k9 on an HD3850 with stock settings, and it is pretty decent at 1600x1200. btw, I don't think RAM is an issue at all.
