Haven't posted at all in a while, though I just had to start posting again since you've started dominating the Dynasty section. Bravo Clutch, bravo. I love what you've done with everything. Took me a while to understand the contest, but that's probably cause I'm an idiot. Haha, anyway great dynasty you have here! Absolutely Hall-Of-Fame worthy. Oh by the way, here's my first shot at the 'Jumbo Mutumbo' contest (yippee!):

Artest, Webster, #4

Good luck with everything! Though I highly doubt you'll need it. (that's enough crotch sniffing for now) ;)

Fantastic write-up about the free agent signings... Man the Spurs are really stacked, they could ultimately be your strongest rival out there on the West...

GAME RECAP
8th Win Comes With Huge Loss

November 17, 2008 MILWAUKEE -- Despite a 102-94 road win over the Milwaukee Bucks and their 8th consecutive victory, the Houston Rockets suffered a shocking blow of different kind with the loss of Center Yao Ming to injury - a broken bone in his right foot estimated to keep him sidelined a minimum of 12 weeks, according to team medical staff.

Ming suffered the injury during a strong drive and shot attempt at the 4:48 mark of the second quarter. Yao collided mid-air with Bucks' center, Tyson Chandler, and let out a loud scream after an awkward one-legged landing then was carefully escorted to the bench by teammates Ron Artest and Shane Battier. Houston had just rallied from a lethargic start and 11-point 1st quarter deficit to take a 36-34 lead off a 15-2 run.

Yao sat for the remainder of the 2nd quarter and did not seek medical attention during halftime but instead returned to start the 3rd, seeming to have shaken off his earlier injury. Wincing at times throughout, Ming managed to finish the game tied with teammate, Tracy McGrady, with 23 points as well as capturing team-highs of 12 rebounds and 2 blocks.

It was only after the game, when Ming complained of swelling about the ankle and continued throbbing pain, that x-rays revealed the true extent of his injury.

"I'm not sure what to say... other than I'm very disappointed. I feel like I let my teammates down," said a obviously disheartened Yao after hearing news of his test results.

"It is not an injury we feel he can play with,'' confirmed Rockets team doctor Tom Clanton.

When asked about his questionable decision to continue playing Yao in the second half, Rockets head coach Phil Jackson replied, "At the time, no one really knew the extent of his injuries, not even Yao himself. He's a tough warrior with the mentality to play through pain; last season Yao played several weeks with a broken nose.* Unfortunately, sometimes it's just not the best thing to do, as we found out tonight."

Though Yao's absence is an immediate and severe loss for the Rockets, if anything, they can be thankful for it's timing, still relatively early in this young season. If his recovery and rehabilitation goes well, it is projected Yao may be able to make a return to limited play sometime near All-Star weekend.

The Yao-less Rockets will have little time to dwell as they once again enter SBC Center tomorrow night for a rematch against Tim Duncan and the revamped world champion San Antonio Spurs featuring newest addition, Antawn Jamison, in his Spurs home debut. Even without injured star point guard, Tony Parker, in the lineup, the champs will no doubt be looking to snap Houston's 8-game win streak and avenge a humiliating 37-point blowout by the Rockets less than two weeks ago.

    Notes:

    Andrew Bogut led the way for the Bucks with an impressive 28 point, 10 rebound double-double;

With all other stats being relatively close, Houston took the edge over the Bucks with their ability to draw fouls and make free throws. As a team the Rockets shot 78% from the charity stripe, converting 25 of 32 attempts while the Bucks shot just 53% only coverting on 8 of 15 attempts

Man tough loss. Are you thinking about adding or trading for someone to help ease his loss for the 12 weeks? :?

thx for the comments guys; been super busy and on the go a lot lately so finally getting a chance to check in; entries are (Y) and yeah, losing yao SUCKS but that's how the dice roll so the team will have to deal with it

UVA44, no trades/additions planned; unfortunately the recent sal cap adjustment didn't help us since we were already deep in the red :(

weechees, for now Collison will get the start and Jumbo will come off the bench as usual and we'll see how it goes...

Tough loss Clutch, I've been following your Dynasty for quite some times now although I never really wrote a comment. ;) Hopefully someone on the roster will be able to fill Yao's spot and keep the Rockets rolling. :) And I gotta say, your dynasty is my favourite one of all time, not because Houston is my favourite team but because of the quality you uphold. Awesome presentation, wonderful recaps and terrific in general. Just professional. (Y)

Jeeze, my favourite team isn't doing well, both in real life and dynasty. :(

Hopefully T-MAC will be able to shake off his flu before they play the Suns. -sigh-

Tough break for Yao. (pun definitiely intended) Haha, don't think I have no sympathy for the guy, but it's funny how Yao always get injured in dynasties. I know you'll still kick ass without the aid of the Ming Dynasty, since you got one hell of a team with your Rockets. So, chin up!

Appreciate the support guys and truly sorry for the lack of updates. Due to circumstances beyond my control i'm going to have to put things on hold until 'real world' matters settle down a bit. A recent cross-country move plus difficulty job hunting in a recessing economy unfortunately leave little time for leisure these days

Pls do not take it that i am 'retiring' this dynasty! it's simply on hold til 'real world' things get back on a regular track and i can resume the saga (and the Jumbo contest) at a later date when i can give it due justice

til then thx for reading - Clutch

Nice last pick with Yao injured, lol. And in the other pic when they are taking him out of the court he reminds me of someone dancing Michael Jackson´s thriller HA.

UPDATE: SADLY, i'm bringing this one to an end guys. unfortunately, things have not improved by much since my last post and there's just absolutely no leisure time for "fun and games" in the same way i once had when Yao, Tmac and Phil first began

anyway, just wanted to make it an "official" closed/retired dynasty and thank all who read/commented all throughout as well as participated in the "Jumbo" contest; couldn't have made it as far as it did without your support. you guys deserve the biggest :applaud:

wish me luck and a nomination getting into the NLSC HoF and best of luck w/your own dynasties; it was a lot of fun

peaceout,
