i wish i could get the moves down. on fast breaks, all i do is hold the triggers and wiggle the left stick like crazy.

Sun Oct 26, 2008 6:05 am

Anybody know how to do Rondo's and Crawford's moves? I was trying to pull them off in Practice mode to no avail. I have pulled it off on rare occasions during 5 on 5 play though... but I was wondering if I can do those whenever.

How to make signature dunks, do we need to press something specific or it's just automatic based on player position on the court.

worst thing possible to do, you'd be better off just hitting the crossover or spin button (config alt 2 on 360/ps3 or w/e you ahve it on the PC)

doesnt take long to learn a couple "money" moves, but the last thing you wanna do is just wiggle that sucker like a 15 year old looking at his older sister's friends

Sun Oct 26, 2008 4:15 pm

No, to get the moves down you should lay off turbo until you actually want to do a move. Once you are done with one move, let go of turbo and press it again when you want to perform another move.

yes!

i thought you needed the turbo button to do the moves, unless they changed it from 2k7.

so let's say you are on a fast break and you're going one on one against a defender, what buttons do you suggest that i push to try to get by the defender? (on default control)

Jack up a three ala Reggie Miller.

HAHAHA. Priceless.

This game sometimes makes me feel more like I'm watching than playing. I get those "did I just do that?" moments where I have no clue what I did and cannot repeat it but it looks damned slick and nice. At this point, a week later, I'm still just mashing buttons. I hope to be able to pull off moves on command someday.

Can some one tell me what too do exactly to preform a move to blow by a defender from a triple threat position. (etc. spin move from a protect the ball position)

Thu Oct 30, 2008 10:05 pm

To blow by a defender with an unused dribble is I usually tap turbo and then burst to the basket or you can execute a quick first step using the triple threat position by releasing the post up button the left stick will dictate what direction you are heading to do a spin hold turbo and post up button then poin the left stick away from the defender then release the button! It takes a lot of practice to perform a good move! I usually tap the turbo button then combined it with the left stick that way I can execute almost all of the moves that I want!

Anyone knows if possible to give bounce pass or cpu makes pass styles auto only?

Sun Nov 02, 2008 2:56 am

Can anyone confirm that those moves are easier to pull off and you can actually feel more the players' inertia and weight when "quickness" is set to very low (in the sliders), and "speed" is increased?
I think Pdub mentioned that makes it easier to perform all those moves, and I saw on the 2K forum someone mention a value of 0 for quickness / 70 for speed makes a nice difference on the gameplay...

i noticed that some moves u wont be able to do in practice such as spin launch, launch right/left

Mon Nov 03, 2008 6:46 pm

Can some one please tell me who to pull of the up and under with a rotate fake move in the post. iam doing exactly like what's written here in the thread put i never managed to pull it of need help here pleaseeeeeeeeeee. :-(

Mon Nov 03, 2008 9:33 pm

I believe you can't perform a up and under move in practice you have to play with some example 1 on 1!

Mon Nov 03, 2008 9:36 pm

post up first no need to hold tha post up button. tap the right stick to left or right and then quickly flick the right stick up. also try flick down which is a good hookshot move. i couldnt explain any better than that.

How do you do a...well, I don´t know the name of this move...it is like a sidestep during dribbling...in Live 2005 you just had to move the freestyle stick to the left or right.

An inside-out dribble? Or a hesitation?

Wed Nov 05, 2008 7:45 am

tap turbo for a hesitation move, tap backdown for a size up move, pretty much those are your choices for that

2K Sports released some video tutorials. Here they are.

BTW, when i set quickness slider to 0 or a little above, players react so slow on offense, especially on post moves and shots.

Can some one PLEASE tell me how to make this move in the clip with an Xbox 360 controller.
