Talk about NBA Live 09 here.

Are they making it for the PC? Nope? Ok then, suck it EA. You're never seeing one red cent from me ever again.
I may even start downloading your remaining PC games (including the ones I don't even play) and distribute them to my pals, just to negate the fact that you got my money for the last 13 years. (Live 95 - 2008, I even bought the worthless 2002 version for PS2, the year they screwed PC users also) I figure the FV (future value) of $34.99 average x 13 years = $660.69 at 6% per year. That means I need to upload your P.O.S. software to 19 potential customers to break even. Sorry it's come to this. You've gotta do what you've gotta do. And I've gotta do what I've gotta do.

Ya know, this is a great post. I hope those dirtbags at EA are looking at the poll. I mean, this website is devoted to NBA Live so the people here are all fanatics. And among fanatics, almost 50% ain't gonna buy your P.O.S. That's pretty pathetic. Eat it Ullrich. And the dirtbag CEO too. The more you take over other decent software co's, the more we'll boycott your crap.

It's funny you PC heads always want a game but then when you get it, the game is shit. FRom what I read, they said they are taking a year off to better the game. So imagine if they release a game for PC next year and it's the "best" PC game ever, you won't be talking shit then.

You know what? i had 2k8 last year and i swore not 2 buy it again! there was online 1 roster update 4 european people in the whole year, when you created a player u could only choose between charles barkleys or tayshaun princes (you all know what i'm talking about), i hated those NES generic shoes the 80% of the players wore.... Don't misunderstand me, i recognize that graphics and animations were great, but i didn't find the controls much intuitive, and moreover when you play +10 games it seem that you are playing always the same. And u know what?? all those things i told you 2k8 lacks, can be found in the demo of live... so good bye 2k!!!But that's only my opinion.

Not everyone would agree but I'm definitely with you on the controls. I think 2K has its strong points but I'm just not a fan of its control scheme and for all the praise it gets, I expected a little more of it. I'm more interested in NBA Live delivering the experience I want and if it doesn't, I'll either player an older game in the series I find more satisfactory or get my video gaming fix with some other genre.

i found a way to connect to PSn in israel (open a usa account) so maybe buying it.

The last two years I've actually purchased both titles. I don't see much changing this year accept I'll probably get NBA 2K9 for the PS3 this year since I haven't utilized that console much since I picked it up back in Febuary.

I'm buying live 09, my favorite nba live game was 07 and i'm a big fan of simulation because i don't really have time to play. If i was into gameplay then i would like live 08 but i really don't at least not for the console version. I think 09 will be great especially dynamic dna, and since tony parker's on the cover then it will be worth it in training players in defense because parker can play defense. So in simulation stats there should'nt be players scoring 40 or 50 points per game. Gilbert arenas on the cover of 08 was a shame, i like gilbert but he's all offense. And i think that since he was on the cover of 08 i should have known that there would be a lot of scoring. I enjoyed live 07 not particularly the game play or the player rotationm, but because simulation stats were more realistic. The play of the game i believe depends on who is on the cover what do you guys think? If you have an offensive player on the cover of a live game expect to see in simulation stats a lot of players scoring same thing with defensive players, espect to see more defense. The game play of live 06 and 07 may not have been as good as 08 but at least the simulation stats were more realistic. If game play is better in 09 then i'll play the games sometimes.

I don't think the cover athlete has any bearing on things like that whatsoever.

He can't be serious.....
as for Tony Parker's defense, the guy is vastly overated as a defender. His game is covered up on that end of the floor mainly because of the very good team defense that the Spurs play year in and year out.
In fact Parker has always had the luxury of playing with solid shot blockers in San Antonio and you can gamble more on the perimeter when you have that luxury and your help defense is always solid.
Every NBA Live game that I have played has been geared towards an offensive fest until you alter the shooting aspects of the game regardless of the cover athelete.

I've already played the Live 09 on PS3 last night. I just got my PS3 to go with my 52"HDTV and i'm weighing which game to get. When i heard the news of the new features for the Live 09 (DNA, 365) i told myself i'm definitely getting it but the demo didn't impress that much. So i'm back on the fence. Any news if the 2K9 demo for PS3 is available already? I haven't voted yet since i wanted to try 2K9 first.
