erm, what happened to the smoothness, the polish, the clean animation transition.

i mean its not horrible like before, but definitely, just not up to par against the previous videos

It did look jerky as apposed to previous videos but i was impressed with the variations and news dunks in that video. i also enjoyed some plays like cp3s pulled out block attempt and where he jumped into a player who was trying to take the charge but yeah the jerkiness slightly downgraded th video.

There were a couple of nice dunks on display in that video but I'm more excited about some of the new basic dunks I saw back in June. Rewind's an interesting concept, assuming the game itself holds up I could see it adding a bit of replay value.

That Kobe spin dunk was tight. . .I'm loving some of the collisions. I'm seeing some realistic charge animations, with player toppling over.

I think they really need to work on the jump shots. they have too many set shots and they don't look NBA realistic. That Dirk jumpshot was off, cause there wasn't enough lift in his jump.

Rewind sounds great. But what about rewinding each team separately. What if I want to match up the Lakers from Kobe's 81 point game against MJ's Bulls when MJ scored 63 against the Celtics.

What if I want to match up the Celtics in the final game of the 2007/2008 finals against Wilt's Warriors the night he scored 100?

What if I want to pit one team's great performance against another team's great performance, but not from the same game? Not all the best performances come from two teams in the same game.

It appears it will only happen for games that actually happened during the 07-08 season and games during the 08-09 season

It would be pretty cool if you could mix and match team rosters and DNA like that though, perhaps something for future games if the Rewind feature takes off.

Yes but the issue is that KG never makes any fancy dunks

It's NBA Live lol

Holy shit man!

Playing the demo, it doesn't seem like the fancy dunks come out too often though. I've seen a 360 dunk attempted and made in the open court but have yet to see it happen in a situation where a player doesn't have the room to get flashy.

The scary thing is the guy in the video looks like he picked up a basketball for the 1st time in his life.... :-(

Makes me wonder about who EA has had working on these games in years past and if they had any knowledge at all about actually playing the game of basketball or were they just hired because they finished somekind of school.

I don't think so. He had pretty good form on that jumpshot. He was wearing jeans and wasn't wearing basketball shoes, which probably contributed to him appearing like he wasn't really into it.

Also, knowing how to play basketball, how the nba plays basketball, and programming it into a video game has got to be really tough.

Also, being knowledgable about a sport doesn't necessarily mean you're good at it. Consider the former NBA players who had fairly ordinary playing careers but have been successful as coaches, not to mention movie critics who may not be able to write or produce a blockbuster hit but their opinions are still trusted.
