Talk about NBA Live 09 here.

Yeah, you're right, but I'd rather see Kobe or LeBron on the boot-up screen, than Tony Longoria...

Parker will be on the French cover, like every single year, so I don't think he'll be on the other covers as well, or it would be very surprising.

Thanks huddy187 for the vids!

If that's the lock down defender thing, I AM VERY HAPPY. The crowd just looks great. Animations looks great. I really can't wait for In-game footage tho. OVerall I like what I see, and it looks better than 08. Already, based on what I'm seeing
Thu Jun 26, 2008 6:08 am
Looks like they're pushing these facial expressions...like people pause the game to zoom into faces? Looks great though...I want know about this fucking be a pro mode. That's what could draw me back....hurry up with the plane landing Andrew!
Gamespot wrote:NBA commissioner David Stern has been vocal about turning the North American pro hoops league into a global institution, starting with a team playing out of Europe within the next 10 years. That international approach appears to have dribbled down to the league's gaming adaptations, as Electronic Arts today announced a starting lineup of four cover stars for NBA Live 09, none of them Americans

Multiple cover boys is agood I guess...but really...who the cover athlete is shouldn't really be so important. This will be like two games in one with this fiba mode.

looks like the havent fix the tunnels in the SBC Center. Looking better then 08

but still early
Thu Jun 26, 2008 7:54 am
thanks
Yeah the jerseys look nice, and so do the net animations.
Thu Jun 26, 2008 8:08 am
the hesistation dribble looks awkward during the regular dribble
side "fadeaway" that TP does does weird because he seriosuly flies like 10 feet to the side, not backwards.
Thu Jun 26, 2008 9:28 am
NBA Live always played like that. I think you can control it. . just take your hand off the side button when shooting.

the cover boy sucks and now the cover appearance!!!!!
(tony parker is computerized on that cover)
Fri Jun 27, 2008 2:53 am
Tony Parker doesn't suck, and I actually like the cover this year, better than last year. Looking at it, he deserved but I would've never thought that he would have gotten it tho considering all the other stars that are more popular than him and better. Likes of LBJ, CP3 came to my mind when it was asked who to be on the cover but I'm happy that TP9 got it.
Fri Jun 27, 2008 4:40 am
I dislike Tony Parker personally as a player, but there's no denying his basketball skills and his championships. Give credit where it's due, as they say...
Sun Jun 29, 2008 7:41 pm
Tony Parker was a surprising choice but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter as far as I'm concerned. The quality of the game inside the box is much more important than the player that's on it.
Sun Jun 29, 2008 8:43 pm
When I buy Live 09,I will rip out the cover first before I play that game
Sun Jun 29, 2008 9:25 pm
But is it really that important? It's not like the cover has any impact on the game. You don't really have to pay much attention to it either.
Sun Jun 29, 2008 9:51 pm
i like the game but I hate the cover , your right the game is important I understand that the cover do not affect the excitement of the game
