For anyone who didn't see this classic, Manu Ginobili was simply amazing!

He did about a hundred different things, including rebounding, taking the ball inside over Shaq and Karl Malone, drawing fouls and showing great courage.

Kobe and Shaq showed who's team it is, by putting up 60% of the points, Shaq had 20 rebounds and hit 11-16 free throws.

Malone had 19 Rebounds during 42 minutes, but was 6-17 from the floor, throwing up some very ugly shots in the fourth and extra periods. Fouled out and was not part of the Lakers comeback.

Ginobili was the story for the Spurs, his 33 points were all of the clutch variety, knocking down series bombs late and in general had the ball in his hands throughout. He had 12 rebounds and 7 assists, he was really great!!

I really think when this team is all on the floor together, they will be very hard to beat, I know they have lost some games, but not with all five starters, they will be very, very good.

They really stole Hedo Turkoglu and Ron Mercer, Hedo being the key for backing up Manu, their styles are close in many ways.

I know it's early, but what a great effort for the Spurs, almost won is an understatement, 2 overtimes without Duncan, Parker and Anthony Carter.

One thing they repeated over and over was that Tony Parker and Tim Duncan are the Spurs two best players, I think Manu Ginobilli is by far better than Parker, he could play the point and he plays great defense.

I got to say, Popovich is a classy and smart coach.

I think Jason Hart either sticks with the Spurs or signs with another team like Cleveland, he is not great, but could be solid.

Yes, what a great game! I had to stay up to watch and if you think about it if the spurs who are missing there 2 best players whos starting 5 only averages about 30 something points! against the lakers huge strong starters maybe the spurs are better?...Just put Tim back in and I bet the spurs will be amazing again

-malik rose is better than tony parker

-very disappointing to see san antonio lose this game after leading by 5 with 3 minutes left in regulation. at the end of the 3rd quarter i knew that the lakers wouldn't let this one slip. but with that late lead i hoped that i was wrong in 'knowing' that the lakers were going to end up the victors. again, disappointed at the lakers not losing.

as a spurs fan, I wish they showed the game in Oz..

I was predicting a 110-85 win for the lakers!

Manu really came up big, and I agree with the "manu is better then parker" BUT only if Manu remains consistent night in, night out...Parkers pretty special for 21!

Im so proud of the guys, what a gutsy performance!

Little dispointed in 'Leek, he shot 2-12 and 5 TO's, and missed a few FT's late.

Hart and Heal have been doing a great job in not turning the ball over, and being solid, I think Hart should stay.

I was surprised at how well Rasho did, tho Willis had a great game vs Miami, he didnt play great vs Lakers.

indeed it was a good game. great confidence booster for the spurs players

i think zen man was happpy to see his team win, but not like this against the shorthanded spurs

as doug collins pointed out, i thought it was pretty stupid of the lakers to shoot the ball with around 8ticks left in double OT. they were very fortunate the rebound was tipped off the backboard to shaq.

malik rose must be amongst the league leaders in TO's per minute!

that game was pretty good
but i still say that the refs bailed the lakers out in the OT
Kobe had a non travelin call when he took like 5 steps,
D. Fisher had a chargin no call and then that last play was the icing on the cake when they called the foul away from the ball that gave the lakers a free throw plus the ball back, the refs need to come correct.

Being a Lakers Fan...(And a HUGE Kobe fan)
I gotta give the Spurs the props they deserve cos Games and Championships aren't only won on Skill but on Spirit...And the Spurs had spirit and didn't want to give the Lakers an easy win! I respect the Spurs and hope to see some great match-ups from these two teams when Playoffs come!
