So Cena is a contender again for the WWE title. Can i ask why is Cena is always on the title picture? I am getting tired of him always the main event. I hope HBK can get a major title

I won't mind if ever, that will be cool too. As for Cena, I thought he'd be out for months too?

Yeah, I thought he was supposed to be out in WWE for a couple of months just to do his new film 12 rounds.

Dont like the biker gimmick of Taker. I like him as it is. But him in RAW is like a roster that is stacked now. They have now great big name superstar and they gonna add another big name superstar which is (N). ECW would be great though :P

Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:44 pm

They wouldn't put Taker on ECW because it's considered as WWE Heat of Raw.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:47 pm

As for ECW, Dreamer needs a push. He looks more like a jobber now.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:58 pm

Didn't know that boogeyman was still a WWE superstar until now. I think he has been released?

Yeah, he needs a push but I think it will never happen and one day, he might just be released like one of the ECW Originals.

He was released in 2006( I think) and was rehired again. He is supposed to be back after taking time off to heal his injury.

Anything's possible but I doubt it. Assuming he does return, which as far as everyone is reporting will happen after he's taken some time off, I assume it will be with the usual Deadman gimmick with all its theatrics.

Time again for Big Green's WWE news...

 Paul "Big Show" Wight underwent an MRI last night to determine the extent of facial damage near the left eye. The eye got badly swollen after Sunday's cane match... http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/articles/7 ... njury60308

 WWE officials were not happy about the million dollar giveaway website crashing last night. Due to high interest crashing the sweeps/eprize.net website after all of the press they've gotten, many in WWE are expecting a "significant increase" in the RAW rating for last night.

 WWE Raw did a 3.06 cable rating on the USA Network. It is likely that number will be rounded up to a 3.1. The first hour did a 2.99 while the second hour did a 3.13.

That number is a slight step up from last week's dismal 2.9 rating on Memorial Day.

Spoilers for this Friday's Smackdown. Really don't read if you want to watch it.
Edge celebrates his new championship, as Batista comes out and challanges Edge for the chip. Vickie says Batista has to win in an 8-man tag team match to earn a title match. Vickie also selects Batista's three partners for the match.
It will be Hawkins, Ryder, Edge, and Chavo against Batista, Nunzio, Funaki, and Colin Delaney.
Batista and his team wins after he hits the Batista Bomb on Zack Ryder, and gets a title match at Night Of Champions
Wed Jun 04, 2008 10:53 pm

That's what I'm talking about. It's the same guys fighting over the World Heavyweight Championship. :shake:

I want Batista to win over Edge but with the same superstars battling over the title over and over again. Its getting boring. I wish Rey could be in the title picture again. There are some people in the Smackdown roster that are good to be in the title picture(Mark Henry, Khali, Rey, Finlay). Why not put them in the title picture? They may not win it but at least its not the two superstar that won the last title

Do you even watch wrestling?

That Khali reign last year was a total waste of "creative" writing.

This is where the brand split really doesn't work. With the amount of wrestlers currently on the roster it certainly helps to have the two main brands with a third brand practically a developmental brand that happens to get a decent amount of exposure and I have to admit that having two major belts has given more wrestlers the opportunity to have world title reigns that they might not have gotten otherwise, but with the current rosters for each brand it leaves the main event picture very repetitive as there are only a handful of guys whom the WWE can sell as regular main eventers.

Perhaps the upcoming lottery will shake things up sufficiently. I'd suggest that they go back to the original idea of having one major championship and having the champion appear on both shows, but then that doesn't really work if they're going to do RAW and Smackdown exclusive house shows.

Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:59 am

yeah i don't think they'll go back to one championship for both shows because they seem to like the idea of having certain storylines for RAW on the cable network and more tame ones on Smackdown on "regular" tv. they can get away with more on RAW, and i guess they feel it would be difficult to continue some RAW angles on Smackdown if they were to merge them.

Fri Jun 06, 2008 10:14 pm

That's true, though they could always leave the more risque segments to RAW and focus more on traditional promos and matches on Smackdown. Still, with the house show situation and the size of the roster the brand split does make sense. That's not to say I'm a fan of it so much as I've come to accept it, but it does make the main event scene repetitive, especially when a few people are taking time off or are out with injuries.

Finally saw One Night Stand, and it is indeed far better than Judgment Day. Matches are cool from the get go. The WWE Championship is good too, though they have to end it early with Orton's injury. Although I already knew it's legit, I still can't believe it until I realized that after Orton's fall, Triple H didn't Pedigree him.

Where did you watch One Night Stand Lean? What is your cable provider?

With the cancellation of WWE Heat, FOX8 is now showing WWE Vintage Collection in its place on Sundays.

Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:14 pm

Vintage WWE instead of Heat? I think you just hit the jackpot.

Mon Jun 09, 2008 3:01 am

Yes, I wasn't exactly unhappy to make that discovery.

Fri Jun 13, 2008 5:13 am

I've read that Taker's absence won't last very long. He's doing the Australian tour (they're coming to Newcastle, I'm regretting not getting tickets) and will resume his program with Edge when he finally returns to TV.
