I know I'm in the minority here, but IMO, San Andreas is better than GTA IV. Don't get me wrong, IV is a great game, but it doesn't feel like GTA to me. Too much realism is not what the series is about, plus the missions in SA were more varied(and singleplayer was more fun). I guess Rockstar wanted to go in a different direction. Just my .02.

one thing i hate about gta4 is the multiplayer, i would rather they spent all time and energy on the single player game

Played the Multiplayer for the first time since I got the game... got absolutely owned in Cops n' Crooks, but did fairly decent in Mafiya works.

Actually it's the games, they run on 720p by default, it is their designed native resolution. It's been discussed on several gaming forums I've come across. For an example, you would have to do the same thing with CoD4 to get full HD. Native resolution is 720p but the game runs on 1080p as well. That's what I've read. I'd guess Resistance's & Motorstorm's native resolution is probably 1080p then.

Cool2Fool wrote:INo offense but I find that really dumb... How long does it take for your ps3 to switch the video display output or your just lazy than a pig?

If you mean lazy by expecting the console to recognize the TV and run all games at the best possible resolution by itself, then yes, I'm lazy as a pig. :)

Cool2Fool wrote:1080p on a TV that is less than 42" is not really big of a difference...What's the point of having more lines when your TV size is only capable of showing 720p but support 1080p. I find it really fun to switch different resolution not sucky...

I'm not really sure of what you're trying to say here. Full HD support literally means that the TV is capable of 1080p. Anyway, go ahead and have all the fun you want! ;)

Its not that bad really....depending on what you play. The GTA races are bananas in a lag free game...fuckers camp out with a rocket launcher and wait for the other racers at certain places and that's hilarious if you can dodge um. It's definitly not as addictive as cod 4 but for a first attempt...rockstar did great. I can only imagine how the multiplayer will be on the next one.

I wouldn't necessarily agree as far as San Andreas is concerned since that wasn't my favourite game in the last generation but I know where you're coming from. I still hold the GTA3 generation in high regard and I can honestly see myself picking them up again at some point.

It's not bad, but it could of been better. No co op is unacceptable especially after crackdowns success in that mode.

I still haven't finished the game. Stuck on the mission for Bell were you have to drive a slow ass truck from Algonquin to Broker, then engage in a very difficult gun fight.

Why not move your GTA save (And all other saves for that matter) to a USB-stick and put them back after you've formated the HD?

Yea that one was a pain in the mother fucking ass (though not as bad as the "snow storm" mission)...took me three tries. First time an unexpected gun man got me from above. Second time when the guys in the boat chased us....I shot them till their boat caught on fire...then it blows up in my face and kills niko. After that I had to turn my xbox off for a day cause if I didn't..i would've broken the controller.

I had issues on that mission because Bell had a death wish and just ran in like an idiot chasing a red ball.

nah most of them were a breeze. most people would say the bank robbery one is the hardest. you gotta really conserve your ammo or pick it up off the dead swat guys. My most annoying missons are the motorcycle chases because i suck at motorcycle riding.

That's because azn's are not good at motorcycles. I haven't heard of an azn motorcycle gang similar to Hell's Angels.

LOL...o boy! ^^^^

Bank robbery mission was a breeze....did it the first try. Nothing compared to the bank robbery in 'Mafia'. The key was to follow packie and only shoot the cops with the red arrows over their heads....stay behind cover.

Me too, that's one of the reasons I've put it aside for a while since I'm up to the first mission that involves a motorcycle chase. I know, that's still early on in the proceedings but that's a habit of mine when it comes to GTA; quite often I'll put it aside when I get stuck, only to regain my enthusiasm and throw myself back into it down the road a bit.

That's why it took me four years to finish GTA3, playing it on and off.

that first motorcycle mission was a pain to me so after failing the first 2 times i parked a car near where the bike spawned and just used that instead. i was however even more angry to find out that i could not catch up to the bike no matter what, even though my car was much facter than that bike whenever i got close he would just start speeding(actually felt like it slowed me down).

then after i chased him to the meeting point where i had to kill the other bikers i changed cars again and just ran them over, the sports cars suck in the dirt

Sounds like I'm going to have fun trying to finish that one. Motorcycles have often been my vehicle of choice for just getting around the city but they're definitely not a favourite of mine when it comes to chase missions.
