According to the
recap at Yahoo! NBA, it's not only a season high in the NBA this year but also the most that the Nuggets have scored since 1984 and the most they've ever scored in regulation. A quick Google search confirms it isn't the highest single team total in regulation however, as Boston scored 173 in a game against Minneapolis in 1959 and Phoenix matched that total in 1990, funnily enough against the Denver Nuggets.
On top of that, the Nuggets had eight players in double digits, shot 60% from the field, 51% from downtown and 85% from the free throw line and Marcus Camby registered a triple double with 13 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists along with four blocks. The lowest amount of points they scored in a quarter was 36, in the second.
One gets the impression that the Nuggets aren't about to go quietly into the night just because they're in ninth place.

It seems like every time the Sonics play the Nuggets, Denver goes on to win by 30+ and score an obscene amount of points. But this is just ridiculous.

very fun game!
JR Smith's dunk was sweet, good to see the bench scorching a team, no one played over 30 minutes. If we miss the playoffs this season will seem like a big dissapointment as im not sure the Nuggets can get any better than this, if we miss them i expect a huge trade goin down in the offseason. In the meantime im gonna enjoy this victory

Wow... that's a lot of points..What's better was that no one player dominated the points and they got contribution from almost everyone

According to Sportscenter, it's the fourth highest single team total in regulation.

that's odd. i check the boxscores and was expecting AI or Melo to have had atleast 40 points. but no, no one scored over 30... what a team effort

i was impressed to see kenyon martin score well, 20 odd points in about the same amount of minutes is a good effort for him

I was expecting to see that too, though they only played a little over half the game.

The Nuggets should really get a "true point guard" for them to be successful.
