Jackson to join McGrady, Yao

Fri Feb 22, 2008 4:21 am

Apparently, the hornets trade bobby jackson and rookie adam haluska to houston. the hornets will recive bonzi wells and mike james. memphis is also involved in the trade and will recive marcus vinicius from the hornets.

The hornets and the spurs are the only top teams in the west which havent done any significant moves.
I think the hornets get the best part here... :D :applaud:

well in my opinion this is a significant move and what do you call Kurt Thomas?

yeah you may call them significant because san antonio needed a big man in the paint and the hornets improved the bench (Y) , an area that cleary need an update. Anyway you cant compare mike james with jason kidd :|

who needs kidd when you got CP3? Hornets got exactly what they needed in that trade. except maybe a veteran post defender. A return by Birdman could really help them in the playoffs.

The Jackson trade looked like simply a way to clear room for the rockets. Where Jackson and James are almost similar players. The Kicker here is that the were able to off-load Wells, whom they having trying hard to dump. (Y) Can't say the Hornets did too poorly as well, cause they were able to acquire some real talent on the 2 spot. Just hope the months of being relegated to the bench does not make him play like a retired Sir Charles. Haha

I think the Wolves shot themselves in foot with the Gerald Green trade. Trading away a player before he has proven himself. Where Green has already shown flashes of how he can make some real damage. Then again, Lucky for green T-mac can now be his mentor. We'll just have to see how he develops.

All right, everyone. Let's all hop on the Houston bandwagon now! Go Rockets!

Fri Feb 22, 2008 2:20 pm

Rockets are looking pretty solid.

Fri Feb 22, 2008 2:41 pm

Wow, unexpected trade. GG to Rockets o.0

Fri Feb 22, 2008 8:51 pm

I don't think it's a wise trade for rockets. They have to trade Bonzi ,the most valuable player for his salary.

I'd forgotten about that. Still, it wouldn't be the first time former adversaries have to put aside their differences after becoming teammates.

Isn't the trade deadline over ? ;s

Yes, but this trade was done well before the trade deadline passed. Check the date. ;)
