my thoughts:
i think this is damn brilliant, and it is bunches better than the primary logo they have now, because it is independent of NOLA as a city...imo, they should find a way to convert this logo to a primary mark

Why do teams need alternate logos?

It looks like some sort of Hindu God. I think it looks a bit silly to be honest.

I think the alternate logos go on the sides of thier shorts. Also they sometimes use them in the corners of their court, with the main logo being in the middle. I think the main thing is to have a smaller logo compared to the larger one.
About the logo, i think its really cool. I wouldnt mind if they used that as their main logo. It really represents the city and the team well.

ok someone more experienced with the city of NO, what the hell is with that shape? its the saints logo too and i have no idea what it is.

Looks great. They incorporate that NO symbol into the team name - a hornet. In the article it says that the Hornet's owner's son designed it, along with some other consultants. I don't know if he designed it as much as picked it out, but whoever did design deserves serious props. Great looking design.

I was thinking, why the heck are they using the fleur-de-lis, until I remembered that "Orleans" is French.
Wed Oct 03, 2007 8:05 am
That's a good idea. Copy the logo of a winless NFL team, that should give you some mojo.
I actually do think it looks really cool though.

I like this logo than the primary ones that their using. The old "H" in a hexagon alternate logo looks simple but they need to have some "appeal" on the logos that they use.

Ditto. I think it is much better than their current logo. The use of the fleur de lis is brilliant. Hope it becomes there primary logo soon.

It really looks nice.I like this more than the original logo.

I still prefer their traditional logo but I guess the change is appropriate given they're returning to New Orleans fulltime this season.

Looks good. It might even look badass if you look at it while drunk.
*buys some beers*

That reminds me of a pen I used to have.
I suppose it looks nice, not to flashy or complicated. The overall feel of it doesn't really scream "NBA" to me.
