I'd put John Stockton in this category too. He was probably the best at setting up other guys with time running out and putting them in a position to score. He could also get his own shot when the clock was running down. Also, Nick Van Exel was very good in crunch time as well.

Kenyon Martin in the fourth quarter Heidi? Did you even watch the 2003 NBA Finals where Martin was shooting like 3 out of 16? Pick some one else Heidi, I know you're smarter than that.

Give me a break Heidi. He just had a little cold and people like you use that as an excuse for him getting throughly outplayed by TD. And who's Amanda? :?:

Who do you keep referring to Heidi? And please try to make a positive contribution instead of just one word posts.

That's the problem with making the "Best in" threads, their dominated by MJ, anyways, here's a modification, all time is the only place you can choose MJ or any other retired player, for the rest, current players!
That should make it a little more interesting instead of MJ, MJ and MJ :P

CURRENT all time clutch (no consideration of past clutchiness, thus reggie is no longer 3 pt clutcher). i'm guessing all time is what it means so mj is still there

All-Time clutch - Michael Jordan
Driving Clutch Player - allen iverson/stephon marbury
3 pt clutch - paul pierce
Playoff Clutch - tim duncan
Best with 2 minutes left: kobe bryant
Fourth Quarter: stephon marbury
defense clutch: ben wallace

i dont know if marbury ended the season as player with the most points scored in the 4th, but im pretty sure he was leading it during sometime in the season. i dont have the facts thoguh so im forced to put kobe in the best with 2 minutes left, itd obviously more easy to do so given that he's more high profile, but easy isnt the same thing as right.

if i'm not mistaken, it's actually paul pierce the past 2 years now

i think Jerry West, Larry Legend, and MJ are tops in these categories all time (except MJ in 3pts)

but currently....

Driving Clutch Player - Jason Kidd
3 pt clutch - Steve Kerr
Playoff Clutch - Tim Duncan
Best with 2 minutes left: Paul Pierce
Fourth Quarter: Paul Pierce
defense clutch: Ron Artest
Jump.

My two favorite clutch plays were both from the same game: Game 4 of the 97 NBA Finals. First, when MJ was about to do his spin move at the free-throw line near the end of the game, Stockton came from his blind slide and stole the ball from him and Jordan and Stockton had a little foot race to the other end of the court. The other play was when Stockton threw his full court pass to Malone over the entire Chicago defense and just inches away from Jordan's fingertips and Malone scored to give the Jazz the lead. Incredible plays.
