looks very interesting. It doesnt look to be a game you can buy in the stores but rather a game you buy inside the demo. A demo that I am in the process of downloading.

Aight I played a game, here are the highlights. well kinda

first 2 minutes 40 seconds is all gameplay, uncut. the last minute or so are "highlights"

and I did nothing to this video, i just threw it all in WMM and added a song that had the same length.

also, can a mod move this over to the video game central?

I'm currently downloading this game too. The pictures on the main site looks top notch, but the gameplay looks a little shitty. It doesn't matter though we will probably find a way to mod it.

The game overall is pretty crap. However, I noticed some elements of it that I really liked. It would be awesome if EA's was at the level of this game in these particlar facets of the gameplay.

1. Ball Physics - The ball moves very realistically. It doesn't come down into a pre determined players hands, it goes where it goes, just like a real ball. The way it spins in the hands of the player looks great, as does the way it bounces when it hits the rim or backboard.

2. Player Movement - Not the animations, but the speed you can move your player. I'm playing with a joypad and and I can walk very slowly, walk normally, slightly jog, etc. I move as I move the joystick. This is awesome, in Live theres run or walk. In this your speed depends entirely on how you move the joystick.

3. Game Highlights - Highlights being shown at the end of the game! Something I have want to see in Live 08. The highlights weren't bad either, they looked quite nice and the camera angles on the replays (along with the slow motion effects) were great.

4. Foot Planting - The thing that shocked me by far the most. There is no sliding what so ever in this game. The players move with their foot steps, the same "foot planting" type movement they showed in the previews for Next Gen Live. If the people that make this game can do it, why can't a huge company like EA? The foot planting is fantastic, I didn't notice any sliding what so ever.

As Shannon said.. EA Sports really needs to take a page or two from the developers that made this game.

EA isn't here to exactly please the audience, but to make money. If a half-ass effort is all it takes to rake in mountains of cash, why waste the whole effort when in the end, they make the same amount of money anyways? Even the competition of NBA 2k7 isn't enough to drive EA Sports to improve. :?

Wow...this is a really cool game. I wish it was in English, supported 1280x1024 by default, and didn't have a time limit. Other than that, very cool.

Tue May 08, 2007 8:53 am

i believe there is an hour limit, right?

Tue May 08, 2007 9:29 am

Yeah, is there any way around it?

Tue May 08, 2007 9:48 am

cough up 15 Euros :P It is a great price, but I can't afford it for this kind of game right now. If it were in english, I would get it.

Another thing I forgot to mention was the net physics. How the net moves and reacts was very impressive.

That reminds me of yet another thing, the way the ball goes into the hoop. Sometimes you get those shots that rattle real quick before dropping in. I haven't ever had that in any Live. However, its also the dunks. They don't go right through, in this game the ball with hit the back of the rim or rattle in depending on how the player dunked it. This is damn realistic because when you watch a player dunk the ball (or have yourself), you will know it doesn't always "swish".

Also, it just plain dosn't feel like I'm locked into animations. (Y)

Tue May 08, 2007 12:24 pm

Yeah, I would definitely get it if it was in English, since I can't figure out the options to save my life, and the net animation is indeed excellent.

Tue May 08, 2007 12:32 pm

you dont get the rattle-ins in Live? I get them all the time, maybe my shot release just sucks :P

but yah, this game reminds me of stuff Live used to have, like real net physics (04 and 03) real time shadows, cutscenes, ect ect.

Tue May 08, 2007 12:35 pm

Not that I remember, but the only games I have played alot were 05 and 03.

A bit offtopic but yesterday I hit a leaning, game tying 3 at the end of a game against GSW with Ben Gordon in my dynasty, and there was a cut scene of everyone on the bench going nuts. Unfortunately I pressed "ESC" real quick about a second after the cut scene started (to ensure I could see a replay), so I missed it.

I had never seen that before in Live 05. :|

I have read on the official forume that they are taking in consideration to make an english version of the game and that they are discussing with Euroleague staff if it could be possible to expand the game to the whole Euroleague.

By the way, they have also released a couple of patches to improve the game but they only work with cd version. For those who downloaded the game, it is necessary to wait for a brand new installer to be released, which shall fix some bugs and update the rosters. If you need some help with translations, send me a PM

The game not run?!?!? HELP!!???!?!

(Noob style)

There is some error, when I install it and try to run.

Tue May 08, 2007 9:43 pm

is it a missing dll file?

if so search google for it, download it, then put it in your C:/Windows/System Directory.

I had a missing file at first but doing that fixed it.
