If that's the case Odom and Smush would be more consistent.

Only part I disagree with

You contradicted yourself again and just ended your own argument.
Precious seconds of my life wasted arguing with you. :wall:

You took that out of context. Kobe doesn't motivate Odom because he can't, also because he is not a god. Odom should be able to motivate himself.

Odom should be able to motivate himself.

Finally, a decent answer.
Good thing you pulled through. (Y)

I see a lot of Kobe fanboys here,
Kobe is the best 2-guard in the league,

that doesn't mean he jumps higher than lebron
wade is probally a lot quicker than Kobe
Wade has more moves off the dribble than Kobe
Wade is more explosive to the basket than Kobe
Lebron and Wade has better court vision than Kobe.
Lebron has more size and strength than Bryant, making him capable of stopping much bigger players.
Wade can play PG, he used to play PG, he has better ball skills.

But why is Kobe better?
Killer Instinct, the most clutch player, ice cold, experience (3 championship rings, ~ 10 years in the league? ) Best jump shot, best 3 pt shot, best off balance shot.

When you have the killer instinct, and you have the better jumpshot, you are probably more effective as a SG.

Let Kobe, Wade and Lebron play PG, i will rank Kobe as #3, let him play PF, Lebron would be better.

Give Wade and Lebron 5 years, i can see Wade catch up to Kobe, Lebron will be different, he might be Magic Johnson-like.

But right now, Kobe is a great defender, great shooter, clutch and most experience offensive player with jump shot anywhere.

Wade has limited range but rapidly improving and Lebron is inconsistent with his shot.

And we have a winner. Most idiotic answer right there.

Lakers should be aware of not making the playoffs with the Clippers and the Warriors just one game behind them - Just to tease some fanboys :)

Wow did Kobe stink it up last night aganist the Suns or what. 7-26 shooting, with only 17 points.
Credit to Raja hes an awesome defender.

Sun Apr 15, 2007 2:59 am

I wouldn't exactly use the words "awesome defender"and "Raja/Bell"in the same sentence.
Kobe was trying to much. He didn't "let the game come to him."

Kobe had great looks throughout most of the game but just couldnt hit them because of Raja's presence on him. (by the way it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to spell presence LMAO) I dont think its that he didnt let the game come to him, cause Kobe has don't bad against the Suns the past couple of meetings just cause of Raja.

some people say kobe has been in the league longer wade and lebron only in their 4th year and while that is true, we aren't comparing their potentials, we are comparing who is the best player right NOW and the obvious answer is Kobe.
Kobe has achieved and proved more in the past year than both LeBron and Wade combined.

Wade won a ring last season. He was Finals MVP.

Kobe showed that he is the best player in the game today over last year, and one of the best to ever play in the NBA.

Yeah, but who cares if he doesnt win ? No one. Imagine him being in the shape he is right now at the time he won his 3 championships. That would have been something big. Right now he is just the best player on a mediocre team. Actually a bit like AI was @Philly the last years.

He definitely is the best scorer. But you guys exaggerate a bit. He can score from anywhere on the court and that makes him one of the top 5 players of the league. Not more.

LeBron

the past 2 games LeBron posted up and was unstoppable. If his coach was smart enough to run more plays like this people would see he's the best post player.

Code:
http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/nba/nbacom/news/lebron_flight23_070412.asx

Watch this video, in the second half particulary he posted up and the announcers commented a lot about that.

In the post he was unstoppable. He just doesnt do it often which no one in the world understands. He did it the past 2 games and I hope it carries into the playoffs.

-Supreme court vision

LeBron's got better court vision, and he actually distributes the ball
-Amazing ballhandling abilities

so does LeBron
-Highest vertical jump

No, LeBron is higher
-Sweet jumpshot and fadeaway

So does LeBron
-Great shooting technique

LeBron's is still inconsistent, right now he seems to have one working better for him. I imagine it is inconsistent because he is still a young player (senior in college)
-Better long range shooting

LeBron doesn't shoot long range too much (3) he shoots more midrange and he has a high percentage there
-Leadership

Kobe is his team, he scores 50 a night and takes over 50 shots with 0-3 assists per night, and 0 rebounds.

I think of LeBron as a better and more respected leader. He doesnt do things for himself like kobe, he distributes the ball and is like the "spark" and his teammates are the "gasoline" he gets them going and he gets himself going.
-Motivator

LBJ is a great motivator, mike brown doesn't motivate his team at all, he is 90% of the motivation for the team
-Strong shooting off balance

LBJ is a strong shooter off balance too
-Better free throw shooter

Yes, but this will improve with lebron, with his new technique he is close to if not more than 80%
-3 championships

LeBron has plenty of time to bring this city some championships (I hope :))

I mean, dwade is a good player, not a superstar IMO.
Kobe shoots a lot.
LBJ is a team player, he doesnt play for a stat line.

Exactly. He's good, but not a superstar. I'd put him on the Brian Cardinal/Ryan Bowen level.

LBJ is a team player, he doesnt play for a stat line.

Right. Who needs a stat line anyway when you have a bigger and better Nike stat line?

:D

Mon Apr 16, 2007 1:26 pm

Cheater1034 did u just say Lebron has a sweet fadeaway? have u seen that thing? Its ugly and far from smooth. He runs kinda weird to like his feet are liek ducks.

There is nothing funnier than a LBJ fanboy arguing with a Kobe fanboy.
Probably a Matt Bonner fanboy would be even more funny ... but that doesnt exist anyway.

Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:36 pm

What? Have you seen Bonner's fade away? He doesn't even have to fade away and his shot is money.

That's just how good he is.

Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:40 pm

 I honestly laughed out loud when I read that. Oh my god that cracks me up, its so stupid its funny.

Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:59 pm

- 3 championships

Ok.. Lets look back. Shaq was the guy for the Lakers, when those 3 came..

With only Kobe, the Lakers have been no further then the 1st round.. (We'll see how this year works out.)

But i think - Lebron's the strongest, Kobe's the best shooter and Wade has the best ball handling. He's also the quickest.

Wade was a Finals MVP, unlike Kobe.. Ofcourse Kobe had the younger and more dominating Shaq next to him.

PS! Check the Lakers site in wikipedia.. Someone's been messing around there.. Maybe it will be gone, before you can read it..

If yes, then this was there :

Probably the same outcome without Kobe.

Mon Apr 16, 2007 11:26 pm

Not to nitpick, but replace Kobe with VC/T-Mac you might have similiar success.

Replace Shaq with...?

Okay, bye.

Mon Apr 16, 2007 11:31 pm

Yeah I know, but what I meant to say Kobe without Shaq is the same as Shaq without Kobe for the Lakers pretty much. Assuming they don't get Erick Dampier as their center when Shaq is gone and Shaq gets VC/Tmac when Kobe leaves. It evens out.

lol, kobe has a much better shot, but LBJ's fade away is slowly developing (right now it looks pretty good :-p)

LBJ and kobe play 2 completely different styles of ball, kobe is a shooter first who can drive, lbj is a penetrator who can distribute/score and a shooter second.

right now kobe is the better talent, but lebron is much more athletic, and I personally view him as a team player but kobe i do not.
