Lakers report
Lakers re-signed with Smush Parker, Ronny Turiaf, Luke Walton.

Lakers refused to re-sign with James Posey, Brian Cook, Shammond Williams and Martynas Andriuskevicius.

Lakers’ GM’s Mitch Kuptchak’s comments on these transactions: “First of all why we didn’t re-sign James and Brian. They were good for us of course, but we wanted to execute a trade in the near-future and buying them wouldn’t allow us to do it, because of the salary cap. Also this will help Ronny and Maurice to develop as they will gain more playing time. Shammond wasn’t producing much for us in the regular season, nor did Martynas so we had no choice, but to let them go, because we didn’t see our future with them.”

I think you should take Nick Young, Corey Brewer or Alando Tucker in the draft. All those guys would be great backups at the SG/SF spots for your team. I don't think Acie Law will slip to your spot (I think you need a PG) but you can always pick one up through trades. Since you didn't esign Posey I strongly you suggest one of the three players I mentioned, as they can all play good defence and score from the perimeter.

Good luck next season (Y)

Nice, 23rd pick. Good to see you re-sign Ronny Turiaf. He's talented and can develop into a good player for you. Let's hope you get a good draft pick. (Y)

Thanks for the comments guys, I very much appreciate it..

Shannon, Thanks for the suggestions man, but I've already decided what I'm gonna do and I'm keepin' on my plan. Yes, I'd be glad to get at least one of those guys, but it would ruin some things in my roster..

-km-, Well, actually I was like 1-3 wins behind from getting the 27th pick..

looser, Glad your helpmin' me, but as I said before, I have plans which I'm planning on doing and draftin' other players wouldn't help much...

JaoSming, Thanks for the suggestion Jao, I had already downloaded it.. (Y)

Lamrock13, Well I've done the draft already and I got a very satisfying player for me...

Sacke12, I like the guy too :)

Thanks again guys... :)

Lakers report

Los Angeles Lakers with the 23rd pick selected Marco Belinelli and with the 53rd pick selected Curtis Stumper.

Kuptchak’s comments: “We needed such a guy to substitute Kobe, since Maurice was going to fill in as a forward. We were scout Marco a lot. We saw his strengths and weaknesses and just thought he’d be perfect for us. He’s incredible in shooting free-throws, he’s totally a pure shooter. He will be very helpful for the team, because we need a boost in our shooting very much. Curtis also could be helpful, though we have better guys in his position, he may not get the playing time he wants.”

Lakers report

Los Angeles Lakers traded Kwame Brown and Tyrus Thomas for Philadelphia’s Samuel Dalembert.

Kuptchak’s comments on the deal: “Oh, this guy will be our key to success this year. His defense and rebounding will boost our team up to the top. Since we won the title last year, with his help, we should make a very exciting regular season. He can also help offensively and that makes him a lot better than Kwame or Tyrus. Maybe we gave a little too much, but I think, he still has some space to develop and we won’t regret it”.

*Guys, I noticed some bugs in the draft like Greg Oden at the height of 6’6”, but I updated the appearance only after the draft, so here’s the excuse.. Oh btw I noticed some bugs like Bulls signing “player” I don’t know what that means, but I checked and I didn’t find any ‘player’, everybody knows who’s fault is it…

Nice job drafting belinelli I saw him at the world championship he was nice.

I like the trade since Dalembart is much better than Kwame and with Tyrus Thomas you give up a guy who is very talented but you have enough forwards to fill in... my only worry is Bynum... since Dalembart is better but also young and I think a pure Center Bynum will have to be back-up for most of his career if there is no trade made... because Bynum is also a pure Center...

Belinelli is the perfect shooter/scorer to compliment Bryant. I like that draft choice but I think you should go for a big man because your front court is fairly thin at the moment.

Nice update (Y)

Good to see you grabbed Curtis Sumpter way late, when healthy, he is a poor mans Alando Tucker anyway, so great pick. Brandon Heath at 9 has "bust" written all over it. Good to see the Sonics finally draft a center capable of anything, and I love the fact that KD will be playing in a high powered offence like Golden State's. The Hawks have a great future with Hibbert down low, Knicks fans can rejoice wit Wright on board (maybe they won't need KG now!?) and while suprisingly high, I think Nick young was a good pick.

I see your player apearances are wrong, hope and pray you followed the instructions nd still have the "appearance.bat" file to run after training camp (the installation generates it in your roster folder, if you load or save your game after it generates it will be lost, unfortunately no way to get it back), or else you'll have to live with a 6"6 Greg Oden (N)

Oh yeah guys, I fucked up...

I was kinda trying to save this shit somehow, but it doesn't work... Guess I'll have to re-do the whole off-season, glad I still have the save before off-season after Game 7 of the finals :)

It's a shame dude, especially since there was a lot of content in your off-season update that you'll have to redo. Hopefully you can still snag Belinelli again, I've heard many good things about him.
