Wikipedia wrote:Miles is expected to miss the entire 2006-07 NBA season due to microfracture surgery. Since Miles' game relies on quickness and explosiveness, it is not known how he will adjust upon his return to the NBA, as microfracture surgery requires at least a year or more to return to near pre-surgery form.

He is still listed on the Blazers' roster so I guess he is still in the NBA.

could've sworn he had the dreaded microfracture surgery. out for the season. man if he stayed on the Clips, i think he could've developed a little better especially with the young guys like Q Rich and Maggette and Brand

yes- he had season ending surgery on his right knee

probably would have developed better going to college. though i don't think he was smart enough to get into a major university

The only good thing he did in the league was finishing this Lamar Odom pass for one of the best alley oops of all time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpa-AajVmcI

He had a cameo in Van Wilder along with Olowokani, Richardson and Odom (credits on IMDB). Slackers didn't feature any NBA player cameos, nor was Chris Evans in that movie. ;)

The Perfect Score is what you're thinking of.

Why would Scarlett Johansson agree to do this to herself?

EDIT: Just saw Silas' post. Apologies.

yes miles is out for the season. he isnt really missed by the Blazers because of Ime Udoka and Travis Outlaw have stepped up at the SF position. I think Blazers should trade him, but wont get much for him lol

Even when healthy, he doesn't care enough to play well in most games. Which is sad since he's talented enough to triple double when he gets pissed.

A while back, there was a rumor about Isiah trading for this cat. Actually, he's perfect for Zeke - athletic, low basketball I.Q. and plays no defense.

miles is a great player.. he has all the skills to be a superstar.. i think the only problem with him is that he doesn't care much about himself and his teammates nor the team itself.. he's too lazy.. sigh.. i wonder when he'll have his breakout year... :(

Haha, probably lost his vertical leap with that, the only thing he ever had.

edit. Anybody seen the 'youngest guns' or whatever the 'movie' he starred in with Q-Rich?

I think Darius Miles being massively overweight is probably a good thing. At least he won't look so damn malnourished.

LOL how can you make fun of Miles' weight when you're a Kevin Durant fan?

I liked this from the Bill Simmons mailbag:

Q: Can we start calling Kevin Durant "The Durantula?" He's big, he's dangerous and even a little spidery at times.
--Dan Cote, Washington, D.C.

SG: I'm vetoing that one. Sounds like a failed WWF character from the late '80s.

Because Durant is fresh outta one year of college and hasn't yet bulked up, where Miles is like a 6 year pro and has had plenty of time to get bigger. Where is all Darius' NBA dollars going anyway? Platinum chains, cars and weed? It sure is hell isn't filling his pantry.

Durantula! thats a good one
