62, 81 and now 65......best player in the game hands down.
Sat Mar 17, 2007 6:33 pm
brother! best player in the game equals = wins and championship
Come on Kobe I know you can do it!
Sat Mar 17, 2007 6:52 pm
I'll say he is the best wing player in the league, best overall talent as well,
but i probally give Tim Duncan as the best player in the NBA
Kobe can be 1 of the best outside stoppers
Duncan can anchor your entire team defence
Kobe can score from anywhere, anyway
Duncan is as dominating and dangerous inside player, basically you run your offence thru him,
still offensively, i rather have kobe bryant there maybe
Also Duncan is going to control the defensive/offensive backboard the whole time he is playing.
If kobe brings the lakers at 6th seed and beats the Spurs, then enters a series with the Suns and beat them as well, i'll consider him the best player of all time..
If he wins the championship with THIS team against this competition ( Dallas, Suns, Spurs, Pistons ).. well i don't know what to say, you'll probally have to argue how Kobe is actually superior to MJ.

oh god, dont start it again

^^ LOL yeah ur right.
really impressive by kobe no doubt.

Sun Mar 18, 2007 12:13 am
another solid game by lamarcus aldridge ( spelling ), this guy looks legit, Tim Duncan said he was impress with him even the beginning of the season ( no i'm not a tim duncan fan )
Aldridge looks like he can be really really good

i hate kobe and the lakers (aside from phil) but damn the boy can ball...
Sun Mar 18, 2007 1:35 am
Dang!! I hate kobe "a whole lot".. but i have to admit that he is the best player in the league today.. but don't call the trailblazers jailblazers coz when kobe gets old and lamarcus reaches his prime... you'll see..

65 points to pull out a victory against the Blazers in overtime.
What a joke the Lakers have become.
Sun Mar 18, 2007 2:32 am
i was watching it..... i actually wanted the lakers to turn it over at the last seconds of OT so blazers can hit a 3 and tie the game into double OT so kobe can score more into like the 70's...
1cent.. i disagree... duncan may be very fundamentally sound(or whatever), but he does not posess the skills that kobe has... and with those skills, kobe can dominate like none other can except maybe the likes of jordan... kobe can hit the most hardest shots in moments when u need him the most.. and he is also an underrated defender because he handles all the workload on offence that he has no fatigue left to play defence... duncan just sets up and works from there... while kobe has to basically dribble himself out of a double team and then perform a crossover and from there pop in a shot that always goes in...
Sun Mar 18, 2007 4:07 am
I think Iverson has also hit 60.
And i was wondering if this season would go without a big scoring performance.
Sun Mar 18, 2007 5:09 am
just one question who are the second scorers in this game for the lakers ?
Odom 15pts then Evans 14 then

nobody over 10 pts
Basketball a team game ??

err?
win is a win,no need for another 20+ pts guys there, game was done perfectly, nice assists and steals.
it was a perfect team play vs blazers.

lol back at you, turn my words against me then, explaine.
Lol doesnt say anythyng here.
If LA players saw that kobe can do a winning game then why they need to shoot 20+ pts? they trusted hes shooting% and helped him with nice assists.
Kobe has improved himself this year a lot,he shares ball more than ever before. And now when he have 3 assists and 65 pts then there isnt a teamplay.ph.

Going into OT with Trailblazers...Liek Axel said, shows how pathetic they got, no support crew, its Kobe and Odom.
Sun Mar 18, 2007 10:21 am
well, yeah,Odom and Kobe are the main guys there and they were the shines of the night also, but other guys were pretty good as well,if we dont look that they didnt score 20+
Okay i was wrong but Kobe deserves a little respect,he is trying to get that team to work.
Sun Mar 18, 2007 3:03 pm
Well, you want to know why the other guys on this Laker team didn't score more?
Odom's shoulder was out and is expected to undergo surgery this offseason, and he hasn't been aggressive ever since his return from the knee injury. Kwame Brown was on one leg, Evan was on one leg, Luke Walton's ankle sored again that he didn't play, Turiaf's back was spasming, Bynum wasn't playing big minute because he couldnt keep up with the other team's bigs, Smush Parker was a joke and a position the team has always needed to fill, Vlad and Mihm are out, hack they even started Vajacic.
These injuries aside, you don't see many decent---star players on the roster, do you?
Bryant was 23-39 and the rest of the Lakers went 20-45.
If the team was healthy like they were at the beginning of the season, I wouldnt like to watch a game like this in which Kobe needed to shoulder all the offensive load. But if the roster is jinxed as it is now and teamplay only translates into losing effort, I would take a win like that anyday.

It was on the news today
Players with most 60 or more points
Wilt with 32
Jordan 4
Kobe 3
E Baylor 3
1 more and Kobe will tie the great MJ
Sun Mar 18, 2007 10:06 pm
Another outstanding performance by Kobe to snap the Lakers' losing streak. The fact he
had to score 65 points for them to win should be somewhat of a concern though.

Actually, Michael Jordan registered 60+ points five times.
69 vs Cleveland (3/28/90)
64 vs Orlando (1/16/93)
63 vs Boston (4/20/86)
61 vs Detroit (3/4/87)
61 vs Atlanta (4/16/87)
Perhaps the news report was only counting regular season games.

How is that pathetic? Every team has it's up's & down's. The way you're talking is as if Denver has been the mighty champion of the NBA every year since they've been part of it.
I get it's fun to take potshots at the Kobe fan, but seriously...the Lakers are a sub-par team and going in to overtime with the Blazers shouldn't be that much of a surprise to anyone. I'd be surprised if they had Shaq/Malone/Payton go in to over time with the Blazers as they are now.
How "pathetic they got"...every team gets pathetic sooner or later, it takes awhile to find additional pieces or start over again, atleast LA has been to the promised land, unlike a lot of other teams.

Playoff games don't count. Otherwise, Wilt would have like 200 50 point games. For example, Kobe has 15 50 point games.
1. 81 points vs. Raptors(2006)
2. 65 points vs. Trailblazers(2007)
3. 62 points vs. Mavs(2005)
4. 58 points vs. Bobcats(2006)
5. 56 points vs. Grizzlies(2002)
6. 55 points vs. Wizards(2003)
7. 53 points vs. Rockets(2006)
8. 52 points vs. Jazz(2006)
9. 52 points vs. Rockets(2003)
10. 51 points vs. Suns(2006)
11. 51 points vs. Kings(2006)
12. 51 points vs. Nuggets(2003)
13. 51 points vs. Warriors(2001)
14. 50 points vs. TrailBlazers(2006)
15. 50 points vs. Clippers(2006)
The 16th should be Kobe 50 points against the suns in the playoffs last year. Yet, it's not officially counted as one of Kobe's career 50 point games.

KOBE is a good player, it's too hard to say who is the best player in the NBA though. There's a lot of debate between that and nobody is hands down the best.
Aside from that, They definitely will not go far at all in the playoffs with a one man team. They need to get some more talent on that team (they had Shaq, but not anymore)
