Players you think will become Stars

Sat Feb 24, 2007 9:58 pm

I think Luol Deng is really going to hit that 'Star status' within a season or 2, he's really playing great ball.
Others:
Nene-Really playing much better now, after injuries.
I'll think of more soon...
Only add Players who aren't quite stars yet.

Danny Granger, Andrea Bargnani, maybe Darko, Rudy Gay, Randy Foye, Iguodala, Brandon Roy are players that come to mind..

Sat Feb 24, 2007 10:37 pm

Monta Ellis, Linas Kleiza..

Monta Ellis,Rudy Gay,Foye..

Al Jefferson => he's lost weight, has an awkward but really effective jump hook, needs more post moves

Andris Biedrins => athletic big man who needs PT.

Marcus Williams => for a rookie he's handling the PG spot really well. Backing Kidd will deffinately aid him

A Iguodola => kind of obvious choice, but he's showing more now that AI is gone

hopefully....Darko => needs a lot of PT, time and some offensive moves. Defensively he's already better than average.

Dorell Wright => someone give this guy PT

J.R Smith is someone I hope that will evolve into a star, he just needs a breakout season..

Marcus Williams will be one of the best PG in the league for sure.

Monta Ellis is one hell of a talent.

Al Jefferson is my kind of a big man, reminds me a good player who played in New Jersey, I think he was called Kenyon Martin

Luther Head/Deron Williams-I watched these boys play in college, no one that season was more clutch than them. While Dee got all the media attention, he's actually extremely inconsistent and i dont think that will translate well to the NBA. However if you look at Deron and Luther they've improved drastically in just their second years.

Raymond Felton-give him a team better than the bobcats and watch him shine

Before this season i would've said Boozer but he made the all star team so i cant really count him.

You'd have to define what you mean by "star" first :).

But players who'll make it in this league and become stars ... well, first David West and maybe Tyson Chandler come to mind.

Andre Igoudala; David Lee; I haven't given up on Emeka Okafor yet; and others which I haven't thought of yet :).

um... Dwight Howard anybody?

Sun Feb 25, 2007 2:56 am

Howard IS a star :D (Y)

Sun Feb 25, 2007 3:20 am

Ellis, Iguodala, Deng, Gordon, Roy.

Sun Feb 25, 2007 3:22 am

gerald green. give him a few years

Sun Feb 25, 2007 3:24 am

Monta Ellis.

Sun Feb 25, 2007 4:39 am

I wish Gerald Green would become a star already. He has the talent for sure and is athletic as anybody in the league. He just doens't play to his potential. I remember in Live 06 I always used to try and get him to be rookie of the year but CP3 always got it no matter what  . But yeah, if this guy gets the PT and improves his jumpshot LeBron better watch out for his all star spot.

Sun Feb 25, 2007 5:16 am

Hopefully Andre Iguodala.

But I think it's already safe to say that he'll become a star. The way he's been playing since the Iverson trade is amazing, even thought he's been struggling a bit since the All-Star break.

Sun Feb 25, 2007 5:36 am

Dwight Howard will become the best C/PF in the NBA in a few years.

Sun Feb 25, 2007 5:45 am

Chris Paul

Sun Feb 25, 2007 6:13 am

I'll just go by draft classes:
06-Roy,Gay,Morrison,Foye and Bargnani. Oh yeah. Marcus Williams too.
05-Chris Paul,Deron Williams,David Lee,Monte Ellis and Gerald Green. Maybe even Luther Head.
04-Gordon,Deng,Howard(Next Best Center),Iggy,Josh Smith,Okafor and Devin Harris.
needless to say what I think about the 03 Class.

Sun Feb 25, 2007 6:55 am

Maurice Williams. He really made his presence felt this season, but their record still sucks.
Also there's Ellis, Bargnani, Iguodala, David Lee, Roy, Foye, Paul, and Williams.

Sun Feb 25, 2007 10:04 am

Josh Smith, definatly. Once he improves his jump shot and 3pt shot a bit more hes gonna be unstoppable

Sun Feb 25, 2007 10:09 am

some of the players people are naming are already there really

Sun Feb 25, 2007 11:13 am

Bogut will be an All-Star, although that is due to weakening of the centre position....whether he is Brad Miller or better remains to be seen, I'm thinking & hoping better....

I don't think Lee will be a star per se, even though I love the guy....he's going to be a star garbage man & star role player, who will give you a double-double every night & up to 15-16ppg....not bad for 30th pick in 2005 draft....

Sun Feb 25, 2007 11:21 am

jason kapono,daniel gibson

IMHO, Kapono is about as good as he's gonna get....as for Gibson, if he can polish all facets of his game & become more of a lead guard, yeah, he can definitely become a star....I personally think he'll become of a Jeff McInnis in his prime sort of guard (14ppg, 6apg) at best....
