xox- You are 100% percent right, 88-99 is way too high. This roster is shit, and needs to be started over from scratch.
I spoke with Dirtdog1 on MSN last night, and asked him these three questions:
1) The reason for all the errors is someone at one time did edit the .dbf files using excel, and that is why it's all messed up. He said we should start the roster all over again, because there is no telling what got messed up while excel attempted to close out the .dbf files.
2) The ratings for a good playable roster:
He told me that a rating of 70-75 for the star players, with the best players tipping at close to 80 would be realistic. Bench scrubs can be rated as low as the 15-25.
3) I asked him what does he use to edit files and would he help us out:
He stated that he started work with Ck on the 2005 Mod, but Ck chose to switch to his own project for Live 2006, and he told Ck that he would help out with Live 2006 when he finished with the 2005 roster. He said he would be finished with that roster this weekend, and might lend us a hand on this one. He doesn’t have 2006 installed, but would re-install it if we was serious on making this roster. He wanted me to send him a copy of what we have done so far.
Dirtdog1 uses DBF Viewer 2000 to edit the roster files.
yeah but if we have 10 people doing rosters then that won't work, what i think is a good rebounder i might put at 68, AJC might put him at 89. and if the rosters are that different...
You are right, that is why first we would have to set a list of ratings guidelines for each of the 10 people to go by.
