Maybe just silly me, but I hoped ellis would get the MVP over Lee. He had like 26 points and most of the highlights.

I think the NBA forced Vegas casinos to do away with the All-Star betting this time around, but I wonder if you were able to bet on which member of each Shooting Stars team would make the half-court shot. That's when you know you have a gambling problem.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 11:58 am

So far: Detroit wins shooting stars, Wade wins skills challenge...

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:11 pm

Gilbert shooting 23 is impressive. I hope he wins.

Shooting Stars - Don't watch that stupid event

That was so true, especially with the damn clock problems, and the retired players couldn't hit shit.

I hated the skills challenge, fucking half ass fuckers.

 at Kapono's 24 in the final round

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:21 pm

Kapono Wins what great shooting.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:23 pm

Kapoono!!!! He shot 300 3-pointers and made 270!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!11 ....Nope but he did get 24 to win the 3 point.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:25 pm

Damn, Kapono was on fire for the finals  ! Maybe it's just me, but I don't think his release is that slow as others say it is, it just seems like a normal shot to me. May not be a lightning quick release like Korver or Ray Allen, but his release isn't slow or anything, not to mention he doesn't jump much for his shot either.

I love Gerald. That first one was sick.

i agree....that was amazing, seemed like his whole head was above the rim

nate's first was nice too

and just like we thought, tyrus sux :P

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:47 pm

Tyrus broke the net, dunked it sooo hard it ripped, gerald still looks liek the guy who'll win.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:48 pm

Awww....they went to commercial - I wanted to see the guy nervously stringing up the new net with thousands of people watching him.

EDIT: Howard......got robbed. Next he should jump and climb up on top of the shot clock, do a backflip and slam it.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:54 pm

STICKER DUNK FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111!!!!!!

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:55 pm

Uhhhh.....Gerald owns everyone. Totally cheated on it just like Dee Brown, unfortunately. He gets bonus points for not kicking Nate in the head.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:58 pm

That Howard dunk was awesome, but G Money has this in the bag. Howard is a funny dude

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:58 pm

I'm still laughing so hard about that sticker dunk... This year's contest is really entertaining. And creative, too. But Dwight definitely got robbed.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:59 pm

Gerald Green should win this he has more creativity.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 1:59 pm

Dwight Howard got the axe. He should be going head to head with Gerald Green, but once again Nate Robinson got favoritism because he's a midget.

I swear, if Gerald Green gets hosed in this final round, and Nate Robinson wins again, it'll be the last time I watch this thing.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 2:00 pm

I think if Dwight could put a sticker high on the backboard, he could have done a much more impressive dunk. I do feel he was robbed a bit, just like Darvin Ham when he was in the dunk contest.

Gotta love Nate for letting Green dunk over him instead of the cardboard, but Gerald looked at the basket.

I am enjoying this so far, much better than last year.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 2:07 pm

I can't believe I just watched Nate waste my life away again - at least he made it (admittedly it was a good dunk).

Sun Feb 18, 2007 2:08 pm

Gerald Green's dunk was sick!

Sun Feb 18, 2007 2:09 pm

Nate zzzzzzzz...Gerald oooo shit!!! They should make a height limit of like 6'2 at least, no one wants to see a midget try to dunk 30 times, finally getting it with no finesse.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 2:10 pm

Indy called it. Kapono and Green.

Still, that dunk didn't deserve a 50.

Sun Feb 18, 2007 2:12 pm

yep...GG took it home

dwight's was nice too and damn u nate for taking forever again

overall, it was a good contest (Y)

Sun Feb 18, 2007 2:12 pm

The final round was kinda boring. If Nate had made his second dunk on the first or second try, it would've been great.

We need guys like Vince in this contest...
