"How tough is it?" Yao said, his voice cracking. "I feel that is not fair. I can't only shoot eight free throws yesterday and six free throws today and they just let their big guy keep pushing me. I would say Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum fouled me 10 times in tonight's game, and yesterday's game also, and they did not call it. That's not fair.
"I know I'm big. That's not my fault. They have two hands pushing on my back and keep pushing while I'm shooting the ball. They're not fouling upstairs, not fouling on my hands. They foul on my body. I shot only six free throws. I know that's not right. I hope the league, somebody can help with this. It's not just one or two games. It's been a couple weeks already."
It's time.. Good to see Yao speaking up but I guess he'll be fined...

Yao is 100% correct...and that's why every other team in the league has gone completely away from post scoring. Why try to score with some 260 lb dude 2 hand shoving you into the reporters, when as a guard, someone brushing your jersey is a foul.
Hey if the Spurs decided they'd rather have some kid from France who never played college ball do most of the scoring rather than a HOF post player like Duncan, the writing is on the wall.
Yao needs to start working on his 3 pointer now.

People say T-Mac doesn't play much defense, but somehow, with T-Mac in the line up the Rockets play very good defense.

Mutumbo is all of a sudden young again
8 straight games of 10+rebound including 2 19reb games.
Also he had 5 blocks last night against the lakers, first block vs. Bynum pushed him into 2nd all time.
Looks like the Rockets might survive this year even with Yao being injuried for a extended period of time. But it's the wild wild west, so nothing is secured.

The Irony.
Andrew Bynum's teacher - Kareem Abdul Jabbar
2nd All Time - Kareem Abdul Jabbar
Shot that Andrew Bynum used that got blocked - THE SKY HOOK.

McGrady currently has 39 points midway through the 3rd quarter. He is really carrying the Yaoless Rockets.
Wed Jan 17, 2007 1:19 pm
Maybe Van Gundy will see that McGrady is still capable of dominating offensively and run the offence through him with Yao as the second option? I can't handle any more less-than-20-point games from T-Mac anymore

t-mac injuried again...back acting up. That sucks, looks like that will be a career long injury.

this is probably the first time i've ever posted in this thread, but a terrific game from Rafer Alston. close to a triple double: 14 points, 8 assists, 9 STEALS. and a win over the bobcats
also, 4 steals from dikembe. 1 away from a career high. at 40 years old!
Mon Feb 12, 2007 3:27 am
4 steals from dikembe.!?!?!
LOL hahahahaha

I reckon when Yao is healthy again, they should keep both Mutombo and Ming on the court. Mutumbo's a better defensive player, right? And Ming's great in the paint. Do Houston have a third C for backup?
Mon Feb 12, 2007 10:43 am
Dikembe Mutombo is God.

When is Yoa coming back?
