It is official Okur most clutch player in the NBA today. I cant count how many times he has hit big shots in the last minute, most of them 3's. I have seen enough and finally created this thread. He should replace Yao in the all-star game.

Gilbert Arenas anyone?
Tue Feb 06, 2007 6:07 pm
Kobe, Carmelo and Gilbert are much better clutch players if you ask me.
Tue Feb 06, 2007 6:09 pm
Clearly, you have not seen Washington Wizards crucial games, every time the Wizards got the last possession and must score to win, the ball is in Agent Zero's hands, the fact that he hit 15 buzzer beaters this season clearly entitles him of having the knack to burn the net at the last second of every quarter(including overtimes).
I vote for Agent Zero(Gilbert Arenas).
EDIT: As far as the season now, I vote for him, but mainly Kobe is far more clutch all in all.

lol i love the vid of him turning around with his hands in the air after he shoots from like 27 ft out to win it.
Tue Feb 06, 2007 7:32 pm
just get the ball in the dying seconds against the nets, youll be clutch in no time

^^^hahah, so true.
Okur is far from the most clutch....i don't recall him making clutch J's when the pressure is really on a.k.a PLAYOFFS.

Me too, it's just sooo crazy, it's basically on the MJ level. I've watched that play over and over, still do.

Okur the most clutch?...*giggles*
Wed Feb 07, 2007 1:16 am
When was the last time Okur hit a game winner?
Wed Feb 07, 2007 2:57 am
I have to say gilbert arenas, because he has made so many clutch shots this season. Like the one against the bucks, that really pissed me off.
Wed Feb 07, 2007 3:06 am
This year, it's been Arenas.
Wed Feb 07, 2007 3:45 am
If you wanna talk about playoffs, the you have to throw Gilbert's name out of the ring. The man can't even make a clutch free throw in the playoffs. And I think ya'll would be surprised if you looked at Okur's clutch numbers.
Wed Feb 07, 2007 4:28 am
LOL I knew it none of you have seen any jazz games this year. I cant count how many times he has hit a 3 when the jazz need it. Example: the last 3 games.

He doesnt miss in the last min of the game. He is one of the top 5 at least.
Wed Feb 07, 2007 5:43 am
I've seen some Jazz recaps, and Okur is clutch for them. But Arenas just pwns the rest of the League right now. I'm not sure how many game-winning shots Kobe has this season, but I would bet Arenas has more than him.

First off, the most importing thing you could've known before making this thread is that nobody would appreciate it. Last time you made a Jazz-homer thread you got flamed too, remember?
On top off that you claimed he's the best clutch player and now you crawl back by saying he's
top 5 at least.
He's amazing I gotta give you that, I've seen enough of his heroics to admit that.

And if we're talking playoffs, throw out Okur's name =P
Didn't Arenas just nail a game winner over the Jazz recently?

Okur is in fact God.

Every team has a guy who hits big threes on occasion near the end of a game. Just because you watch Jazz games religiously while most of us don't doesn't make your point valid.

Damn you're getting annyoing. You probably haven't seen any NBA Games besides urse Jazz, he won't replace Yao anyways.

What have I ever said to you?
I think that Okur is one of the top clutch players. His FT and FG % is 10% higher then just in regulation time. For the record I do watch other NBA games. NBA on TNT is one of my fav shows.

It might have something to do with this spamtastic thread.

What about it makes it spam? Only because people like you make it that way.
Arenas is another guy that seems to make it all the time at the buzzer or when his team needs it. Like a couple weeks ago, but who didnt hit a clutch shot against the jazz a couple weeks ago.
Wed Feb 07, 2007 5:32 pm
wait, so he was "officially" the best, and now he's "one of the top clutch players"? How the mighty have fallen.

hehe, whenever I see that I always think about earlier in the year against the Magic. Wizards down by three, Arenas shoots a three at the buzzer, turns around with his arms up while the ball is still in the air...and the ball's long and bounces off the rim.
Nothing against Arenas, I like his off-the-court character. I'm also not trying to diss his clutch skills because nobody can be 100% accurate and he's made a ton of huge shots this year. I just thought it was funny that like everybody was making a big deal from the shot you're talking about, with him turning around celebrating before the shot even goes in, and yet he's done it before but didn't make the shot. I have a feeling Arenas will become the next Big-Papi, whenever he hits a game winning shot it will be aired over and over and over again like Big Papi's game winning home runs, while basically brushing off the other clutch (and possibly more clutch) players in the league. Whatever sells though.
