A reporter asked Garnett in December if he was unhappy in Minnesota. Garnett replied with, "I don't read you guys' columns," Garnett said. "I'm right here. I never said I wasn't happy. I don't know where y'all get that [expletive] from. None of y'all ask me any of that."
"I feel like we've got a good team here," he said. "We're dealing with offensive chemistry problems a little bit, but I wouldn't say problems like problems; it's just trying to feel one another and play. We're dealing with some of the same things that Phoenix and Dallas and all the other teams are dealing with. Teams that have not been together a long time and teams that have new personnel are making adjustments, and we're no different. You go through it, man. It is what it is."
"My personality is just that I've got a good group of guys here that are willing to work," Garnett said. "There's no definite that if I do go to another market, or another situation, that it's always going to work. When I'm at a stage when I feel like [team owner] Glen [Taylor] is not putting forth a strong effort to make this team better, then I think it's time for me to leave. But until I feel like that, that's how it's going to be."
"Stop writing that [expletives] might feel sorry for me," he said. "I'm going to grind this thing out. Charles [Barkley] went to Houston and played with some greatness, man. But there's no definite, man. It's all about how it flows and the opportunities and the right opportunities. And right now I'm working on getting some wins in 'Sota."
