Don't worry, I felt the same way with LA organisation when Shaq was traded. None the less, I still love the Lakers and I still love Shaq. You find a balance.
Besides, Shaq winning another ring sort of made it all better. Now you can wait for AI to get that long coveted ring.
Mon Dec 11, 2006 1:49 am
^Yeah you're probably right. Thanks for the kind words.
Still it's not going to be the same. Not because Iverson's no longer a Sixer but because of the way the management handled the whole situation. This just proves my point that B. King is the worst GM any professional sports team has ever had...
By the way, it's kind of funny to me how I used this signature since the season started, must have been some type of intuition...
Mon Dec 11, 2006 2:34 am
Yeah, know one could've told you it would go wrong at some point when the losing wouldn't stop.. and as far as B. King, worst possible is as bad as Isiah, no one's worse than him.

I don't know if anyone saw this, but Iverson's such an idiot. "How the hell can I make my teammates better by practicing?" This clip is hilarious because he's like a one-track record.

Are you one of those people that sit in the basement programming stuff with your mother enteraining a series of oddball looking men and sending you down an occasional pina colada with sleeping syrum to protect you from the heavy thumping sounds that may find their way to your ears?
Mon Dec 11, 2006 7:48 am
What the hell, that's like a 50 player trade

Hell no..........dude that took me like 5 mins.

I wonder why AI picked Boston & Chicago as the two teams he'd like to play for...they're both pretty young teams with just 1 veteran. I'm guessing more for location reasons (big, urban east coast cities) than anything else.
I think it's going to take a long while, because like the Artest soap opera, AI can nix any deal by simply saying "i won't play 100% there".
They're going to have to find a deal suitable to the Sixer's rebuilding and somewhere AI feels like playing.
Mon Dec 11, 2006 9:52 am
Look into the logistics of it. The Lakers make that trade and the ENTIRE roster is:
Brian Cook
Kobe Bryant
Lamar Odom
Kevin Garnett
Allen Iverson
While the Wolves and 6ers end up with 19 players on their rosters

Yup, he's an idiot for something he said 4 years ago.

The Celtics will probably trade either Telfair or Rondo and some more players to get him. They have some great young talent, but would give up 1 or 2 of them to get Iverson.

I only can see him going West, because the Sixers would be stupid to trade him to another Eastern team. Especially someone like the Celtics, who is considered one of the Sixers rivals and they'll have to face them 4 times a year so Iverson can bust 60 a game on them. So, if anything, he should be going to a Western Conference team.
Mon Dec 11, 2006 1:26 pm
Even with Iverson's skill, you would have to consider his age as a factor for whether you would be trading your younger guys for him.
But I see Iverson landing in Minnesota since Philly loves Foye and add Mike James and either Eddie Griffin/Jaric/Ricky Davis

i know this makes sense but really Philly should get the best offer available irrespective of conference. It's not like they are going to compete for a playoff spot anytime soon.
With Ron Artest it made sense to pack him West because Indiana was actually a plus 500 ball club.

Reading the early rumors on hoopshype, i'm a little surprised at how un-interested most teams seem to be in trading for AI. Even Bobcat players don't seem to really want him. I liked Salmons' quote about the possibility of playing with AI again in Sacramento: "It is what it is."

Wow, I didn't realize people were still just finding out about this. This is such an overused joke about him, and is an overplayed clip too.

I don't know if anyone had heard... but there is a rumor floating around here in detroit that there was a proposed 3 team trade with Detroit,Minnesota, and Philadelphia.
Detroit Trades Rasheed Wallace to Philadelphia, and Receives Kevin Garnett from Minnesota.
Minnesota Trades Kevin Garnett To Detroit and Receives Allen Iverson from Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Trades Allen Iverson and Receives Rasheed Wallace From Detroit.
Tue Dec 12, 2006 4:34 am
btw.. can anyone post the ESPN Insider Rumor Central notes about Iverson?.. I saw a interesting one that says Iverson a Laker? but i dont have it..can anyone tell me what it says?

If that does happen, then that's one hell of a blockbuster. Philly would lose out on the whole thing though, since KG > Rasheed.
Edit My bad

Sheed's salary is to low to swap for KG, by a margin of $9 million. It would have to be KG for Rasheed + Rip Hamilton or Rasheed + Tayshaun Prince.
I guess theoretically Detroit could also trade a number of benchwarmers, but i hardly see Minny trading away KG for Detroit's bench.
In Philly's situation, i would think they would go for 1st round picks or young guys with potential rather than veterans with only a few years left in them.

maes: Another rumor that does involve a young player with a draft pick:
PJ Brown (Expiring Contract)
Ben Gordon
Michael Sweetney (Expiring Contract)
1st round draft pick which is probably going to be like top 5
for Iverson
