It's pretty funny how some of you dudes seem like you are seriously comparing them to MJ and Pippen... Maybe you can compare Bron to MJ but Larry to Pippen... hell no.

I guess the search continues..

Yes..it's time to disband the cavs franchise after that one game. Send Lebron to college and larry to the NBDL. It's over. (y)

BIG GREEN wrote:I'm not comparing him to pippen...he's nothing close to that guy. All im suggesting is that he's complimenting lebron the way pippen complimented some other number 23

then your 'comparison' or whatever you're calling it is inaccurate. you're saying Hughes 'compliments' James because he can put points on the board.

there are a lot of Pippen's in the league based on this

lol@jowe

There are? So wait..there are other number 23's in the league who are dynamic scorers, passers, rebounders and have another shooting guard/slasher playing complimenting them by scoring alot of points? News to me... :?

it's news to me if you are a perimenter player that can put points on the board, that makes you a pippen

i guess chris paul has found his Bill Russel since Chandler can block shots

at the end of the day..i was only raising a question that can be debated. You obviously don't believe he has found his pippen. (y)

Dro wrote:All you guys who are saying Larry Hughes is an "above-average" player don't know what you're talking about. This is a guy who averaged 22, 6 and 5 back in Washington and is known as a solid defender. If Hughes was healthy all of last year, the Cavs could have been in the Eastern Conference Finals. .

The guy averaged that for 1 season, and in a strange coincidence it was his contract season...hmmm. His career average is 15, 4.7, and 3.3.

"If" is the big word about Hughes' health. This isn't a guy who just got hurt 1 season, he's an 11 year veteran who plays an average of only 56 games per season. We can say "if" about a lot of guys, like Grant Hill or Penny Hardaway, in the end it doesn't matter.

How can you compare Bron to Jordan anyway, they are two different players, Bron is 6'8 and bulky, MJ was 6'6 and lean, Bron cant shoot 3's consistently, MJ was one of the best shooters. MJ is clutch, Lebron isnt. I'm not hating on Lebron but they are two different players. The best comparison to MJ in the league right now is Kobe Bryant, when you look at their styles of play they are very similar. So the real question is has Kobe found his Pippen in Odom?

What about we compare Bron to Magic? Then we can say Z is Abdul-Jabbar, Drew as Worthy and Larry as Coops. The last three aren't very good comparisons as all... ah well...

MJ was a better passer and rebounder than kobe though. Take bron's last season and it looks like any one of the best season's jordan had in terms of personal stats. You must of missed the last playoffs if you think lebron still isn't clutch. Odom being kobe's pippen is a fair debate point though.

Yup.. KOBE should wear number 23 instead of 24 and ODOM shouldve worn 33

Sun Nov 19, 2006 6:13 pm

agreed. skill is entirely dependant on what number you wear.
