The world champs have been a nice little appetite of Basketball but I mean im starting to get really bored
I can't wait for training camps to start
Wed Aug 30, 2006 5:16 pm
ditto.
The world championships would be a little better if I didn't know the result before the game is shown on TV... or even worse, have the final score displayed at the bottom of the screen periodically throughout the game.
I need the NBA and soon.

yea same here... I live for NBA. I bet on NBA everyday to make a living for my family. I have to save/win enough during the season to prepare for the offseason. So far I have lost 30lb since the Heat won the championship....

The offseason is a good time to do homework. Too bad season starts a week before exams. 2 more months to go and i can't wait, but NBA Live 07 once it comes out should hold me down till it gets going.

I'm keen for the expanded coverage we're supposed to be getting since it should mean we get the Bulls/Heat game on opening night. In the meantime, I've just been watching old games and tapes/DVDs from last season.
This has to have been one of the quietest offseasons in recent memory. Usually there's more rumours and deals to talk about but after an initial flurry of movement where the bigger names re-signed or left town, it's just been the odd draftee or undrafted rookie signing a deal or journeyman moving on.

Andrew, you know as they say it "calm before the storm"... This has been an off-season that has been marred by the 2007 off-season. Teams are lined up and ready to go for that. Next off-season should have plenty of teams under the cap and plenty of free agents available. The teams are just waiting for it...

I predict big things for next off-season since most of the second-tier players like Kaman, Josh Howard and TJ Ford from the '03 draft class will become free agents.

Did a few of you guys contemplate suicide during the NBA lockout?
Seriously, I'm excited about the season, especially for the Raptors. There doesn't seem to be a clear cut team that's going to win it all, so there's going to be a lot of competition to make the playoffs.

would you happen to have a clip of the end of regulation of the Lakers/Suns game 6? I've been looking all over the place for it.
And Cyanide, the lockout killed me for months and it started on my birthday
Thu Aug 31, 2006 4:46 am

Thu Aug 31, 2006 6:59 am

Thu Aug 31, 2006 8:27 am
fark! i want NBA now! why does the offseason have to be so frecking long???
Thu Aug 31, 2006 1:20 pm
off season been relatively quiet is probably why..
anyway i, like many can't wait till next season cause the knicks can only go in 2 ways i think
1. be a winning team and be good again (at least playoff bound)
or
2. suck, isiah fire, marbury traded, francis traded, dolan resign (ok ok might be pushing it), knicks rebuild

That's true. It makes for a boring offseason in the meantime though.

I didn't go that far but I did give my NBA tapes a good run those few months. Fortunately NBA Action ran some specials until the lockout ended.
