Carmelo is doing good at the worlds, but as yohance said, he's got to show it in the nba, WC doesnt mean a lot.

i love the way Belinelli is playing at the world...not because i'm italian but because he's absolutely great...if the Raptors pick him he'll be with Andrea Bargnani...two italian in one team...that's my dream

Aaron Bruce owns all,
Horsham represent baby

Florient Pietrus is doing well in this tournament, rebounding, blocking shots, playing good defense and scoring defense. He's athletci and a good mid-range shooter. He's far superior to Ronny Turiaf or Johan Petro, and I don't see why no NBA teams is interested as he has already played 2 summer leagues.
Diaw is good as well, as an overall player - he played PF at the beginning of the tournament then switch to SF, and he played well as a PG against Venezuela today.

I was so impressed by Bellinelli when Italy faced the USA.
His ballhandling is extremely good, he is very quick although he is quite tall for a point guard. His athleticism is very good for an european player and he is also able to score from outside.

If you want i have a nice Belinelli mix

If we don't count the NBA players, then Belinelli. This guy is simply awesome. Same with Rudy Fernandez. And I can't fucking wait when Ricky Rubio starts playing at this level. He's going to be the best European guard since Drazen. There. I said it.

Do they seem young to you ?

Sergio Rodriguez is averaging 10.9 assits per 48min, playing only 9min per game, so imagine what he can do if he play the whole game, Steve Nash has a younger brother!!

Fri Aug 25, 2006 6:54 am

Sorry, I meant 40min, and there are a lot of players who play 40min in a NBA game
Fri Aug 25, 2006 9:04 am
not at full intensity. they cant play at the same level the whole 40 minutes.

lol not unless he's allen iverson..... ai just suprises me sometimes.... there's some rumors out there saying other nba players have never seen iverson out of breath... lol.... anyways back onto track, the best young player is melo, period no question. if other young players on international teams are better than him, let them make the nba and then will discuss this.
Fri Aug 25, 2006 11:17 am
take bellinelli and kalnietis to the nba.

The way you say it, it'd seem like international teams have no skill whatsoever and the NBA is the only prestigious basketball league.
Fri Aug 25, 2006 3:44 pm
well it is the league that's most prestigous not to mention has the highest skilled basketball players in the world.... if the international competition skill level were truly as exciting and talented as some make it out to be, there would be fewer tshkivillis and more nowitzkis not to mention less international nba players flocking over to the nba for glory and riches
Fri Aug 25, 2006 6:54 pm
Its hard to admit it,but its Bellineli at least for me.The guy is freakin awesome I watched all of the Italy games and I was so impressed by his performances. The others for me are thoose standard NBA players Lebron,Melo etc...And know a little bit of love for the Slovenian team

.Uros Slokar played really well this past games (when he got playing time)
