I love it how after a spectacular 1st quarter, Coach K says to himself, "damn that Chris Paul is good. He made the team." and benches him for pretty much the rest of the game...
Melo still makes me sick...
If only this team had Marion & Odom & Redd... wow that would be some team

Silas wrote:Yeah, I noticed they played best when they didnt have a lot of shot jackers in there. Early on they were taking a lot of tough shots that werent going in, but when Bowen and Battier and Hinrich and Miller got in there, along with Brand and Johnson and James and Paul, they really seemed to get going. After that the other guys like Wade and Carmello and Bosh seemed to fit into the style more.

I'm looking forward to the games against China and Brazil a lot.

I think it was more because they were trying out different things on the court as opposed to because the "shot jackers" weren't there.

I agree. Coach K was experimenting, and planned on emptying his bench from the beginning. It was the defense that got them going, not the removal of the "shot jackers".

I'm pretty sure this is the plan and will be for all games, someone was telling me about the playtime strategy this morning.

Everybody is going to get their minutes, and Coach K expects them to give 100% with the time they get, same for Battier as for LeBron.

CP's 15 minutes was only 2 less than LeBron's 17 minutes.

The only guys who played significantly "low" minutes (10) were the veterans, Miller & Bowen.

Chirs bosh played 10 minutes.

Best stategy on defense by Coach K with this roster I think with this defense

and energy they can beat any team but they have to be carefull againts greece

and litvany.

Hey guys imagine score is 80-81 I mean USA is down by 1 and 3 second is left

and USA have a chance to win who will take the last shot?

I think lebron 8-)

I'd let Carmelo take that, seriously. It's obvious it would be one of the big three anyway.

Sat Aug 05, 2006 7:02 pm

I think it would go to LeBron but I agree, I'd want Carmelo taking it.

This usa teamm rockss the way they do on defence 'pressure the ball all the time' is great if they keep this defensive pressure nobody can hold on against them
and as a turkish guy ı would love to see my turkish team play against usa and bring them down with ersan, cenk, ibrahim, ermal and kaya and so on.. come on usa we'll wait for you

by the way the last shot would go to wade..

not wade, he still havent developed his 3 point. it would probably goto melo or lebron.
i think their lineup was pretty creative.. lebron at pf and bosh at c and so forth.. hehe since the opponents arent that tall they put pf's and c. but when they face china...

Lebron at PF worked for me in NBA Live, but he was too turnover prone and got blocked a lot when facing even an average big man.

Can I ask why you compare everything to NBA Live?
