The Official Trade Talk Thread

Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:05 am

What trades do you think will happen in the forthcoming off-season. I'm expecting to see major change in Denver. I think only Carmelo and Camby are the only players not been considered for a trade.

Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:24 am

i hope denver trades kenyon to the nets, then we can run collins off the bench

Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:30 am

Who would you trade though. You've got three monster contracts in Carter. Kidd and Jefferson.

Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:31 am

Tyson Chandler is getting himself a job somewhere else, I hope :proud:.

In other news,
-I'd say AI is probably NOT going to get traded.
-No one wants Zach Randolph, but Darius Miles is going somewhere else. And I firmly believe they'll keep Telfair for at least another season.
- J.R. Smith is as good as gone.
- Either Marion or Barbosa is going.
- Brad Miller is possibility.
- Magloire is a definite gonner.
Et cetera.

Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:36 am

Talk of Darius Miles going to the Rockets today. Don't understand that if they've got T-Mac. Also talk between Suns trading Marion for Chandler and the no.2 pick.

Sun Jun 25, 2006 1:42 am

Bulls are NOT trading Marion for Chandler and the #2. No chance in hell. Marion doesn't feed a need, would take even more capspace than Chandler and there wouldn't be a single decent big big man on the roster after the trade (no, Luke Schenscher is not decent).

Edit:
Marion To Bulls? Paxson Says No
24th June, 2006 - 6:34 am
Chicago Sun-Times - Bulls GM John Paxson has denied that reports of his team sending the second overall pick in next week's draft plus Tyson Chandler to the Phoenix Suns for forward Shawn Marion has any basis, the Chicago Sun-Times are reporting.

The Racine (Wis.) Journal-Times reported Thursday that the Bulls and Suns were giving "serious thought'' to such a deal.

Bulls general manager John Paxson shot down the report Friday. ''There's no truth to [it],'' he said.

Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni also told the East Valley/Scottsdale (Ariz.) Tribune this week that Marion is not on the market.

"You can ignore it [the rumors],'' D'Antoni said. "I'll tell you what's going to happen: Someone will call me and I'll listen, because you always have to listen. And then we'll go, 'No.' And then it will be in the paper the next day that we're interested.

''You have to roll with the punches, but Shawn knows we're close, and we're not doing anything like that.''

I told you so.

Talk of Philly sending their pick for Barbosa and the Suns pick or something like that.

Sun Jun 25, 2006 4:30 am

I saw a couple of trades at realgm.com on nuggets board and I heard that Miller might end up in Boston for 7th overall and Delonte West. Martin is either gonna go to New York for Francis or I really hope that new Nuggets Gm can pull off a deal that'll send martin to Isiah, Francis to Philly and AI to Denver.

I think that would be risky for Lawrence Frank's plan for next season. He likes to have that big-ass dope for defence. Well, that's cool, but man, if you have a good post player like Mark Jackson, come on !, he should be starter !. If Kenyon returns ( I would love it ) I think he or Krstic would be bench players. That's Frank's style.

yeh and ur probably gonna need a new sf if the trade happens.

The number 1 trade that needs to happen in my books is the sixers need to trade Igoudala.

Sun Jun 25, 2006 7:17 am

Macijasuskas said he won't go back to New Orleans under no circumstance, so I guess they will have to trade him, even though they said that Hornets need him. :?

Carlos Boozer rumors are on the rise once again. Reports are that Utah is listening to offers from Memphis, Atlanta, Toronto, and Golden State.

Brad Miller? He was lighting it up this season, why the hell is he a possibility? His 3-Point shooting was like 30-38%, he was probably second best on the team this season, not just because of 3-pointers but he was doing it all except for rebounding. I don't even remember him making any mistakes this year.

I can see Atlanta trading for Boozer to replace Harrington and drafting Marcus Williams or Randy Foye despite reports that they've promised Shelden Williams with the No.5.

You're probably Billy King's son or something. What the fuck are you thinking...?

Sun Jun 25, 2006 12:50 pm

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kevin Garnett. Any recent trade rumors involving KG?

Sun Jun 25, 2006 10:17 pm

I heard that the Wolves are trying to do everything not to trade him.

Because again he choked in the playoffs and did nothing.

Marc Jackson is too slow to run with VC, RJ, and Kidd that's why he's not a starter.

Are you two smoking weed while you posted that?
Francis isn't as good as AI and has more attitude problems and Iggy is only 1 of a few players in the team who can play defense and score a bit.

Mon Jun 26, 2006 12:20 am

Iguodala is the only one besides Korver who I would keep on the Sixers. AI has to have 11 tailor made players around him to actually get somewhere and he's too old to build around him, while Dalembert is overpaid, as is Webber, who thinks it's year 2000 and he's still a superstar.

Mon Jun 26, 2006 3:42 am

The Rockets are looking to trade Luther Head and #8 for Minnesota's #6. Good deal for the Wolves imo. Luther Head good guy off the bench whose good in the clutch.

He's also in New Orleans these days, which makes it somewhat difficult for him to be in the Nets starting five. ;)

lol....

I do notice in a lot of my Dynasties Marc Jackson always averages like 20-24 ppg and 8-12 rbpg and he's a consistent all star.... He must fit perfectly into the simulation Hornets.
