New Hawks Logo!!!!!!!

I liked the old one (yes, me and my 90s sensibilities) but this one isn't bad at all. I have to agree with Sauru's assessment though.

Yeah looks decent, but still, the logo changes:

2005: shades of blue (denver, etc.)

2006: shades of red (milwaukee, hawks, blazers next?)

When will it end? lol

Hawks's and Blazers' primary colour was always red, so I don't know how that's such a big deal.

I don't like it, though. I wonder how NBA teams can't afford a decent graphic designer. The only new age logo/jerseys that I like are Denver's.

And I hope that different logo/same results thing is not true. I want Knicks to win it all next year. Lottery, that is .

THey're prolly going to get new jerseys too... it's a shame because the current ones I like. THey're most like ly going even more retro with the jerseys (if that's even possible)and have that Hawks font slapped on front of a jersey. I would love to be surprised and have them make new jerseys kinda like the old Pistol Pete ones, but they won't.

The logo is ok, I don't like the things sticking out the sides of the Hawks font. Looks too Mavs-like.

I'm a little bit suspicious as there is no source on the net which states that the Hawks even consider changing their logo. And to be honest, the font looks a little bit like a fake... well I may be wrong, let's wait and see.

you know what? you may be right. i tried browsing on the internet and haven't seen anything. might be from one of those fictional logo sites

jst went to the hawks website and they still have their old logo plastered all over the place. most teams usually hype new logos months before they're unveiled.

It's clearly the bevel, the shadows and the tiny Atlanta font which made me think that it might be a fake. And if you look close you propably notice that there is a little bit of white space between the right red thorn and the circle. On the left side there is no such empty space.

I think it looks pretty nice... Fierce, strong but not really suitable for a team like Hawks..

Anyway, where did you get this? I went to Hawks.com but I don't see any news about it yet.

Perhaps it's a new secondary logo. If not, and it is just a fictional logo, then I guess the 90s live on for at least another year.

That's true. The logo looks nice, but you would think that they would have it updated already. xD

im fairly sure that this is just a really good rendering of a fictional logo that someone made...cuz on the Logo forums i belong to, they havent heard anything and they find out about EVERYTHING ...and yea the bevels sort of kill the authenticity of this one....perhaps if the Hawks organization sees it, they might be inspired to do a little change on their logo to freshen up the team interest...

Found it whilst looking for CAPs. If you don't know about this site it is probably the best for missing players in the game or college players. Also does street ballers too.
