In celebration of the Miami Heat's win, I decide to skip the Internet Talk.
Dwayne Wade started very slow and Jason Terry and Josh Howard were carrying Dallas on their shouldars having no focus on Jerry Stackhouse what so ever. Then in the waning seconds, Gary Payton hit an big left-handed, high off the glass lay-up. Wade then goes to get his touch and hit two big free throws to give Miami the win.
Did you all see Dirk Nowitzki shove and kick the treadmill(i think it was a treadmill) and i think mouth the words" This is Bullshit." Avery Johnson also kicked ass when talking with the media. I think the reporter who asked Aver Johnson for his impression on the foul on Wade when he got fouled on his way to the basket shit his pants.
My Last Words, Miami is up 3-2 bitches!!
I like to see what Gedas has to say but my forum God, Yohance Bailey, is here to stop that.

I'd take Terry over Billups :shifty:

That's the main reason why I consider Dallas the better team. The Heat have the better player, but Dallas has the "better team" like Yohance said earlier. And I would rather see the better team win, rather than the better player.

What makes the mavs a better team? Cause they have more offensive firepower of the bench and the heat have defensive players off the bench? As far as team play im sorry unless dallas is in a pick and roll all they do is isolate for dirk, howard, and terry.

What is the Chris Webber moment??
I was not into NBA when the Sac Kings were in the Finals.
And this is also the first time I have seen Shaq play so many minutes.
I know his career high is more but I have never witnessed it.
Look at these photos http://www.nba.com/finals2006/20060618/060618_11.html

Makes Wade look like God and Shaq looked like he died and his soul is leaving.

Webber called a nonexisting timeout in the last moments of a championship game in college (it was his sophomore year, I think), which resulted in a game winning free throw by the other team. Fab Five, baby.

How about actually watching the game for a change?

Or if you're too lazy, how about watching the last play? The "foul" by GULP of all people Dirk Nowitzki?

How about Wade pushing off 3 guys to get to the basket?

How about Wade shooting the same no. of FT's as the entire Dallas team?

Do i really need to enlighten you?

Look at that...nice little elbow grab on the shooting arm. Even if it was called on Dirk, there was a foul there anyways.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 4:20 pm

Actually, I don't even know if Harris is even touching him there.

Great game by Wade nonethless. Props to him and the Heat.

I did watch the game  . What you said dosn't prove how the game is "fixed". If you want fixed, go watch WWE wrestling. It pretty obvious that Wade got fouled on his drive to the basket. I think I heard from the announcers that Wade was fouled on his leg. And the comments of Wade pushing his way to the basket is skill. Or from your perspective, Avery Johnson said, "Triple-team Dwayne Wade and make it look like he got through all of you and drew a foul."

Mon Jun 19, 2006 4:26 pm

I live in California and I read in the newspaper that someone on Denver( I think)
was suspended for grabbing Chris Kaman's balls. Is it true?? LOL

Mon Jun 19, 2006 4:33 pm

Jesus.

There was a phantom call in the final seconds of a championship game and you have the nerve to even say that it does not prove the game was fixed?

Have you ever heard of the term "common sense"?

Yes, the announcers said that Wade was fouled on his leg, the problem was Dirk was nowhere near his leg. Even Hubie Brown was shocked that the foul was called on Dirk and it was OBVIOUS by his reaction on air.

Seriously.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 4:34 pm

Maybe he was fouled by Dirk, maybe not but nonetheless, he was fouled.
I did some reasearch on Chris Webber's moment and I also found he was in possession or was under the influence of marijuan several times. He also pleaded guilty to lying to judge and he along with the rest of the Fab 5 of the University of Michigan recieved money bribes in the scandal of the championship game.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 4:53 pm

He was fouled? How about his push on Terry before the phantom foul?

Or how about the missed backcourt violation on Wade's last play? Still not a fixed game?

Mon Jun 19, 2006 5:16 pm

There wasn't a missed backcourt violation. You are allowed to inbound the ball to ANYWHERE on the court.

edit: And another picture, Dirk put his hand on Wade's back which is just a stupid play. That gets called 99% of the time.

Apparently you need to get your vision checked. Colin posted a nice picture of the last play which clearly shows that there was a foul.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 5:20 pm

Now it's a series  . I can't see the Heat winning in Dallas. I can only invision the Mavericks winning in Dallas.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 5:33 pm

Again, the refs called a fould on dirk. Devin Harris was the one who fouled dirk. Im not the one who needs my vision checked.

here wasn't a missed backcourt violation. You are allowed to inbound the ball to ANYWHERE on the court.

Thanks captain obvious.

Here's another thing that's obvious: wade catched the inbound pass in the heat side of the court, then proceeded to go back to gthe mavs side of the court. Now that is a backcurt violation.

Oh and stop posting those pictures. They are not cute nor do they prove that there was a foul on Dirk. Even a drunk idiot would have seen that clearly.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 5:57 pm

Wow, I just watched the postgame interview with Avery Johnson. Hopefully he is fined, because really, that was just rude. The reporters have a job to do, and intentionally being a bastard definetly warrants it.

Apparently not.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 6:16 pm

Lol@everyone who thinks that wasn't an obvious backcourt violation. But like I said, props to Miami. These kind of mistakes are bound to happen every game.

No-call, unwanted timeout send Dallas tempers flaring

Cuban, who was wearing the jersey of suspended forward Jerry Stackhouse, ran onto the court and screamed at official Joe DeRosa, then went to the scorer's table and stared down NBA commissioner David Stern and other league officials. Cuban then went up the tunnel toward their aisle and kept screaming and staring.

Stern made his way out, but Cuban didn't let up. Considering he's been fined well over $1 million -- including $200,000 this postseason alone -- his tab could rise again before Game 6 in Dallas on Tuesday night.

I noticed him heading out onto the court at the end there but wasn't aware of the extent of the incident. You can't fault anyone on the Mavericks for being upset nor can you fault Cuban for his passion in general, but that does the team no favours. No doubt it was a heat of the moment act and Cuban's dedication to the Mavericks and willingness to stand up for them is admirable but I don't think that was a smart move.

You don't threaten the commissioner of the NBA with menacing stares without suffering repercussions. Hopefully Cuban's wallet takes the hit for the incident and nothing more, so the series can be decided on the court with both teams at full strength.

Mon Jun 19, 2006 7:02 pm

He had every reason to be rude.

The game was fixed. Somehow, the referees forgot to call an obvious backcourt violation. A call they rarely(see:never) miss till game 5. (N) (N) (N)

Game 5 was gift wrapped to the heat.

Apparently not.

Can you think of a better comeback? Please?

Well...I'd say he has every right to be upset but not to threaten David Stern or any other league officials. Apologies for the cliche, but two wrongs don't make a right. But even if his actions are justifiable, you can bet the NBA won't see it that way which is why I don't think it was a good move on his part.

As I said, hopefully the only repercussions will be a fine (if any action is taken). I'd hate to see Avery Johnson and the players punished for something Cuban did in the heat of the moment. Again, I'm not saying Cuban or anyone else on the Mavericks has no right to feel upset, simply that confronting Joe DeRosa and David Stern like that probably wasn't the best idea.
