Kobe atm, easy, but Wade is heading the the right direction....he just needs 1. an outside shot 2. get rid of the TO's (jump in the air to make a pass and getting a TO is inexcusable) and 3. acquire some man-to-man lock down D......his help D is excellent but he's not a scary man-to-man defender.

Thu Jun 15, 2006 3:04 pm

Kobe...

Thu Jun 15, 2006 3:47 pm

Kobe for sure.

The best overall player in the league is Shawn Marion, without a doubt. What isn't he good at? He's a respectable 3pt shooter, over 80% at the line, top line rebounder, shot blocker, man on man and help defender... he was 5th in steals, 3rd in efficiency... and one important thing is he is always there, playing through injury and pain, especially this year in the playoffs. He started at least 79 games the last 6 seasons, and played 40 mpg this year.

Thu Jun 15, 2006 5:40 pm

He's good at doing everything but he is not the BEST in ANY of those categories you mentioned.

Thu Jun 15, 2006 6:00 pm

yes, but his presence on court isn't always felt. He has a lot of shitty games in the playoffs......he's not one of those guys that lifts his game in the postseason, and that's when it counts.

Hmm I have to say that Kobe is at the top spot... In 1-2 years Wade and LeBron but when we're speaking of allround talent I'd go with Billups.

Thu Jun 15, 2006 9:13 pm

Wade and Dirk at he moment 8-)

1. Kobe
His game is complete apart from his attitude. Has three rings and is beginning to become a leader. This guy is in his prime and I think a trade for Garnett wouldn't hurt the Lakers

2. Wade
If he improves his outside shot and gets a few rings he will be better than Kobe. His whole game will improve as he gets older no doubt but his outside shot is the only major concern.

3. LeBron
As much as a talent he is I think Wade gets the slight nod over him because Wade has been places LeBron hasn't more times (playoffs 3-1, finals 1-0 and he is playing with Shaq). LeBron is improving in the clutch but Wade beats him here and Wade plays much better defence. In time though I think at the end of each players career LeBron will be the better player but right now Wade for me.

I would have to say Lebron. He can do everything, great player and most important leader of the Cavs, without him Cleveland would probably in the same spot as Utah. The reason I didn't say Kobe is that he is old and he doesn't have that many years in front of him.

#8 soon to be #24

is it me or has he aged pretty quickly? seems like it was a couple years ago when he was only 24 winning his third championship :o

Dirk Nowitzki

Lebron James

Wade

Kobe

Can anybody tell me why Kobe is actually changing his jersey number 8 to 24? If you ask me I think that is a crappy descision because that number has so much history behind it.

It was hes first number in italy.
He can`t take 33 cause it`s in HOF already,so 24 it is.
And more money is one more answer for your why questin.

My main man Kobe.

Fri Jun 16, 2006 8:44 am

Honestly i hate to say this but the only reason Kobe put up 81 points is because he took 40 something shots and went to the line 20 times. If anybody does that they are sure to have 80-90 points by the end of the game.

Do you know anything at all about basketball? You give "anyone" 40 something shots and they're all going to shoot over 50% like Kobe did are they? Kobe's the 2nd player in history to score over 80 points, yet he's nowhere near being the first to take 40 shots...

Owned!

Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:27 pm

Kobe right now

in like 3-4 years, Wade will have the shot/ the moves/skills kobe has, but he'll lose a little bit athleticly, i think Wade's got better court vision and speed Kobe can ever have...

Lebron is bigger, stronger and more athletic than either, hes got better court vision too, so potentially, he can be the best ever...

Tmac if hes back healthy, i would think hes 2nd to Kobe, hes soo smooth, and hes got better length than Kobe, which makes him a better rebounder and POTENTIALLY a better defender... but hes not as skilled as kobe and isn't as competitive and healthy... i doubt he'll ever reach a higher level than he was da last 2 years

Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:43 pm

I think that in 10 years LeBron could be twice what wade is simply because Wade's style of play will take a toll on his body sooner or later, though if it didnt take a toll on his body and he learned to hit 3's he could be as good as LeBron, but theres no way his style of play WONT take a toll on his body.
