Blocks - FGA

Fri May 19, 2006 4:19 pm

Hi, don't know if this was asked before...

Some time ago I realized something that I forgot to post. And this is the problem:
when a player goes for a shot/layup/dunk in Live 06 und gets blocked it counts not 1 FGA but 2 FGA. Is this correct?

Fri May 19, 2006 5:17 pm

Shit, no. Why do they keep doing that kinda bullcrap?

I only realized it when I played the Spurs with the Mavs. Diop blocked the first layup-attempt of Tony Parker, it was the first shot-attempt in the whole game and then I looked into the stats. And there it was:
Spurs 0-2 FGs...
Perhaps this is another bug, which causes those high FGAs in 12 min quarters. Because playing with the Mavs and having with Diop, Dampier and Mbenga huge shot-blockers in the lineup reaching 10 blocks a game is not that difficult. But 10 blocks also mean 20 FGAs.

I really wouldn't doubt it but I've never paid closed enough attention to it - I'll check it out later.

probably one of many bugs.
there is also a bug when player x got blocked by a player and a team member of player x will get the ball and put it in the basket, it'll be considered as an assist to player x.

Yea true, I've seen that done before. Thats probably how Haslem earns his assists, he gets blocked and Shaq finishes the job :)

I think if the 2k series came out for the computer we wouldn't have to deal with all these bugs. The two companies would both be competing and they would amost be forced to release patches/fixes for their games. Well, at least that's how it should be. If EA would take just a little time fixing the simple little glitches that we gripe about they would sell more games and hear a lot less complaining from us.
