Tony Parker better start packing away his uni because its Desperate Housewives for him now. Go Mavs!

Spurs won't go down w/o a fight.......but perhaps these "injuries" have caught up to them.

I've never liked the spurs since they slaughtered my knicks back in 99. I'm always glad to see someone stick it to them. I like duncan as a player but i just dont like the team spurs.

heres an interesting opinion article regarding duncan's game off espn (if you haven't already read it)
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/ ... id=2445401

i especially like the artest quote
Unpredictable? How about Ron Artest, the NBA's Jesse James to Duncan's Wyatt Earp. The combustible Sacramento King told Dime Magazine this season that he likes the way Duncan plays.

Artest explained: "I remember one time Kevin Garnett was mushing him, and shoving him in the face; and Tim Duncan didn't do anything, he didn't react. He just kicked Kevin Garnett's a--, and won the damn championship. You know what I'm sayin'? That's gangsta. Everybody can show emotion, dunk on somebody, scream and be real cocky; but Tim Duncan is a ... he's a pimp."

imo its a shame that duncan has gone underappreciated over his career. Obviously people who know basketball appreciate him, but like it says in the article "he isn't adored." I guess its only reasonable that the little things he does are overshadowed by the hoopla and highlight reel footage of others, but really now. Considering he is the greatest player of his generation imho I find it sad he isn't given the adoration of players of the past of that same stature.

terry was great in the 4th quarter. i don't think any of his makes even hit the rim (except for the rainbow shot on the baseline over duncan). kudos to him for having the confidence/aggressiveness to take most of the big shots. Spurs did a good job in limiting Dirk's touches in the 4th

hard for the Spurs to win the next game if they can't stop Harris and continue to shoot free throws poorly (lol geez)

Harris is going to cause problems for any team he plays against. If Mavs win, they'll likely be headed to the Finals where they'll probably play Detroit....i can just envision him shitting on the Pistons :x

Don't you get tired of your chalk predictions? "Rodney White for ROY", "Pistons made the right move drafting Darko", "Pistons will beat the spurs in 7", Pistons will win game 4 against the cavs"...

Not all of them, of course not. But I dont try to make them sound like a prophecy. For instance, you say "dallas if they win will play detroit in the finals". How do you know that will happen? You can't be 100% sure, yet your statement sounds like a fact given the way its worded.

Thats where the difference lies.

Is this a Matthew vs. Matthew?
Anyway, I watched the replay of Game 4, the referees had real bad calls that were Pro-Dallas.
Dime Mailbag: Some Official Remarks
There is some GREAT basketball being played here. It's unfortunate the officials seem to be getting in the way. Too many sketchy calls by veteran officials in key moments. Let the players decide. I don't watch the game to see Jess $%##! Kersey. With that said, Bruce Bowen did not foul Dirk late. I was so disappointed to see that call being made. I'm not even a Spurs fan, but felt their pain. Bowen plays perfect defense and they bail out Dirk. Two key FT's. Don't call that tic-tac garbage late in game. Make Dirk make a play. Make him make a shot. I was just thinking this series is too good and the teams too good for the officials to step in like they have been. They need to stay out of it.
-- Kenny (San Francisco)

You completely overlook the fact that the refs have obviously called a pro-Mavs game in Games 3 and 4. Specifically, in Game 3 the Mavs went to the line 50 times, I said 50 with Dirk getting there 24 times on only nine shots. That's pathetic -- this guy isn't MJ as an offensive threat, nor any of the other truly greats such as Wilt, Shaq in his prime, etc. Especially disturbing is that on two plays, one in Game 3 and one Monday night, Dirk basically, in an uncoordinated fashion, ran into Timmy Duncan going to the basket and it was Duncan who was called for the foul …
-- Robert E Vivien (New York)

Does anyone else think the Spurs got robbed Monday night? The close call in Game 3 could go either way, but Game 4 was atrocious. Tony Parker got called for about seven travelling violations. Tim Duncan for blocking when Dirk smashed into him, and the mystery foul on Bowen against Nowitzki as well. I know he's European, but isn't it an offensive foul when he lowers his shoulder? Such a bad way to celebrate Dick Bavetta's 90th birthday.
-- Ryan (San Diego)

It looks to me like Mark Cuban's recent $200,000 fine for criticizing the refs was a good investment. His Mavs are clearly getting the benefit of the officiating during this series. For the second straight game, one of the Spurs' big three fouls out on a questionable call at a critical juncture of the fourth quarter. The Mavs have discovered that all they need to do to get to the line is to lower their heads and jump into the closest Spur and the refs will certainly bail them out. … This is the playoffs! Let the players decide the outcome of these games, not the refs.
-- Chris (Chicago)

He basically makes biased predictions based on his favouristism with no flexibility toward the opposition..thusly impugning his own credibility.

I can't wait for tonights game. I think Dallas will come out firing on all cylinders because they don't want to give San Antonio a glimmer of hope. However, San Antonio is such a poised experienced team, I'd be shocked to see them lose this series in 5 games. If they win this game, then they have a chance to win the series. For a series that is 3-1 GOD has it been close.

uh not really

Harris hasn't been a ~20ppg scorer until this series. Parker can't guard him and the Spurs haven't been able to successfuly counter/stop this and the small Dallas lineup

no repsonse expected as usual lol

Sucks the Mavs lost and couldn't close it out and to only lose by 1 pt.. and come so close at the end..

And now Jason Terry being suspended sounds like the NBA is trying to force a game 7 to me.

I also would like to see the replay of the Terry hit; I've heard that its just another crap suspension that the NBA has pulled out of its ass.

I can't really say I'm too disappointed. I'm not a major Dallas fan although they do have a lot of players that I like on the team. Besides, my favourite Maverick, Marquis Daniels should be getting more playing time now.

I didn't even know Terry hit Finley.

I thought if annyone would hit him it would be Dirk "It's about time Mavs fanst started booing Finley" Nowitzki

Stu Jackson is an idiot. period. Mr. "I saw James Posey 'eyeing him' the whole time down the floor" needs to get his eyes checked. I watched the replay like 10 times just now on Sportscenter from different angles and JT brought his hand up to try to get up after the jump ball. Finley was in the way, and he took it as a punch. Doesn't really help that you got images circulating around like this:
Image
with the caption "Jason Terry shows his fist to Michael Finley"
this is bullcrap.
