You know it. Not the one that will lose.

Awesome.

Sounds like something that should've happened on The Simpsons. In fact it does remind me of a particular Simpsons moment.
"Kill, Bart! Kill, Bart!"
"Kill
Bart! Kill
Bart!"

Really... apparently you haven't heard of Shaun Livingston.
... and Corey Maggette
... and Elton Brand
... and Chris Kaman
but they're all too old, guess the Clips will fall off the table real soon.

^ But the Clippers had them before, and their new found success came with Cassell this season.

Clipper Tickets range from $1,700 to $16
Lakers Tickets range from $2,400 to $12
In LA $800 isnt a big deal.

Lakers got lucky by drawing a side of teams entering the playoffs playing mediocore to bad; not one of them over 500 in their last 10 reg season games. that said, nothing in the playoffs is easy, but there is such thing as more easy...
Wed May 03, 2006 9:00 am
Everyone wants the Lakers to win now it seems, seeing as how Kobe Bryant's suddenly become a team player.
If they play this way next season, they could really become more dangerous than they've been considered all year long.
Wed May 03, 2006 9:10 am
If the Lakers and Clips play eachother, then I woudl realyl like to see 1/2 of the court in Lakers style, and the other 1/2 look like Clips.
But that won't happen because of loss of money (losing customers), and season ticket hodlers will ose their seats, and so on...
Wed May 03, 2006 2:35 pm
Will the Clippers reserve tickets for their fans for their 'home' games? Cause what if 3/4 of the stadium is filled with Lakers fans for games 1-7? <-- aussming that it goes to 7 games...

Are you talking about in the history of the league, or this year? This year, it has to be detroit. Milwalkee is a young team with heart, but they are easily the worst team in the playoffs, and next up is cleveland or washington. Both the wiazards and cavs can score, but they cant defend for long stretches in a game let alone extend that in a series.
Each other path has pitfalls for each team concerend. Miami or chicago can pose problems for new jersey or indiana, and vica versa. The clippers match up with with pheonix and the lakers have that one weapon that can destory a team like the clipps. And the mavs/spurs might be the best series of this years playoffs.
Historically speaking, I'd say the 2001 lakers had an easy run to the conference finals. Portland self destructed in the first 2 games and showed exactly how important the mental aspect of basketball is in the playoffs, and then they toyed with sacramento, who were like a snake with its head cut off: scary but not dangerous.
This got me thinking though, who had the toughest road to the conference finals? My guess is 95 rockets. They were down 2-1 to utah before winning in 5 games, and down 3-1 to pheonix before winning in 7 games. Thats right, 5 elimination games with the deciding game on the opposing teams floor as well.

That's an analogy.

Sit, cmon...I expected more out of you...IF the Lakers get by Phoenix...it'll pretty much be as if the two teams were back in their original domiciles pre 99-00 season. When it's the Clippers home floor, Clipper season ticket holders have priority and vice versa. Treat it as if they didn't even share the same building...it just so happens that it is the same building..
QUESTION FOR YOU ALL: If you logged in a minimum of 300 NBA live games and we're a fan of the NBA, would't it be one of the most common factoids that the Clippers and Lakers share the same building/!?! Some Live baller asked me that question and I told him to f'kin do his research and he went off on me...and my country...and how his country invented Basketball... and then I said to do his research again and he flew off the handle again...
Factoid before anybody goes off on somebody here in the future: A country entity does NOT invent a sport...
...Likewise, when that country's citizen actually lives in another country at the time he invented the game, who takes ownership?
That's another separate thread altogether.

Was it Gedas?

assuming the lakers finish the suns off i say, go clips

I still want to know how #12 came to the conclusion that the average Lakers fan is richer than the average Clippers fan.
Fri May 05, 2006 3:51 pm
guess this thread was a lil premature since its going to game 7
Fri May 05, 2006 3:55 pm
yeah, thats funny. if the suns win, i will explode with laughter and joy the likes of which have never been seen.
Fri May 05, 2006 3:58 pm
That's why, "It's not over 'till it's over!"
Phil Jackson's record when leading a series is in danger. Game 7 will be interesting.

Doubtful. Not every team is as weak on the interior as the Suns.

Right. I don't go questioning your fandom of the Fakers, do I?
