The LeBron Hate Thread

Postby zmac on Fri Apr 28, 2006 11:23 pm

Axel made a Miami one, so I'll make a Cavs one. :D

Well, thats not the only reason. Since LeBrons first playoff game thread, no one has talked a word of Cavs-Wizards, in particuliar Cavs, so what the heck....

So why don't you say somthing worthy of a discussion, rather than opening a thread and question why nobody is talking about the cavs. You have a mind, use it.

You have a mind

We can't really be sure of that.

If Mikki says something worthy of discussion, then only will Zmac say something.

The world doesn't revolve around LeBron....outside ESPN people don't ride his nuts, and that's the case here...that's why no one gives a shit about this series.

this thread might need to be closed after Rnd 1.

Wow..i sense alot of animosity there Matt. You seem to always have something negative to say about Lebron or the cavs. I suspect you refresh yourself when you're thirsty with a ice cold bottle of haterade.

That sure makes a lot of sense.....since Mikki left NLSC.

Well Ok, I'll start talking bout something then.
I think for the Cavs to win this series, Hughes has to step up on defense. Who cares bout his offense, we need his defense.
Also, we need Murray, Marshall and Jones to get about 20 or so per off the bench for us to stay competitive. Ilgauskas has to take on a more defense machine inside, and Gooden has to be a force down low on Jamison.
If these things happen, we will take it out 4-1. If not, Game 7 will be the decider.

i say that cavs win this series in 6 games.

cleveland has looked inconsistent so far...lebron needs more games like game 1 and less games like game 2.

OMG ....41 points...most ever scored by an NBA player on his first playoff road game. On top of that..he had the game winner...cavs beat wizards by one point. That was one of the best games of the play-offs so far..arenas vs. bron. I guess lebron has conquered his weakness in the clutch...now he needs to work on his defence.

Arghh, Cavs won.. Good game though
But LeBron should've been called a double-dribble violation in one of his last shot attempts... The ball didn't leave his hand and he jumped and landed and jumped again.

Yea, I agree. He first jump-stopped and then took two (!) more steps into the lane before jumping :|
Sad to see a game like that finished in such a manor. But still, a very nice game; both teams played very well.

No, I don’t like LeBron all that much, but so what? At any time, when you hop-step and then take another step, it's a travel violation. In my opinion, LeBron took a bad hop-step (Landed on one foot before the other), then took two more steps like nothing; Now that’s a double (Maybe even a triple) travel violation. But somehow the referees overlooked that, which pissed me off. It almost ruined an otherwise good game, when its outcome gets decided by such an obvious rule-breaking/referee incompetence.

If it was one of your favourite players, I doubt you'd be whinging. What about the no call with Ruffin fouling Lebron? Maybe its the officials who don't want to determine the winner, and let the players decide.

Well if it was Gasol doing a bad hop-step then taking two additional steps and wins the game by doing so, I'd say "What crappy way to win a game. Pretty much ruins it". I mean do you honestly think that it was a just move by LeBron (to do it) and the referees (to let it go)?

I'm not to sure about letting the players dictate the game as you say. That way, there'll just be a hell of a lot more players like Kobe, Manu and Rip flopping all over the court and getting more touch fouls than ever before. Like how many players even play a clean and fair game these days? Not trying to get bad calls in his favour, or constantly performing travels, or committing technical fouls time after time on defence. In my opinion, the refs need to straighten up and take the game accordingly, rather than loosening up and letting the players play their game.
(Maybe this debate should be in a separate topic instead of in the Cavs thread)

Nah leave it in here, its not like this was a good thread anyway "talk about the cavs here", yeah awesome stuff (N)

As for your post, i see what your saying. But we don't know why it wasnt called. Did they let it go on purpose, or was it to let the game be decidied by the players. I know when I'm watching a close playoff game, I'd hate to see the referee decide the outcome of the game. My mind goes back to 2002, the Charlotte Hornets in Orlando in game 3. Scores tied with less then a second to go, Baron davis flicks a shot a shot up that CLEARLY is released before the siren goes off, it goes in, and its called late. That to me is 100 times worse than a missed traveling call.

Lebron 41 points :applaud: .Great game overall, the game winning shot simply amazing for Lebron.I don't know is it just me,but I have a felling that Lebron is starting to be just like Jordan.I mean 30 points almost every single night he worked on his clutch and now he's getting the game winning shot.... What's next ? A championship ring ...Its simply amazing Jordan was in college when Lebron is already in the playoffs. But I think this year he will be go to round 2 and then lost the series.Lets face it he still needs to work on his D.Its great to watch how he is improving every single day.

I think there are more players than Lebron which that statement would apply to so its not that special.
