Yeah, hurry up, I'm almost in the playoffs, if you want to catch me up

Mattias Tomsa 8-) I hope I can get a few genomes like him :P

Yeah, Blazers recovered after unsuccessful season, and with 2 great rookies are going towards playoffs.
If you had Mattias in your team, blazers would become the Champions, for sure

THIRD CONSECUTIVE LOSS FOR THE MAVS

March 10, 2007
America West Arena, Phoenix

Image

The Mavericks suffered another loss, now at the America West Arena against Phoenix Suns.
Seems that team is in the little crisis right now, if we can call it little.
Playoffs are coming and team are losing the rythm of the game. Owners hope that this will end quickly.
Steve Nash did his job again, leading Suns to the victory, 20 points and 8 assists from him.
Notable that Suns played as the one team, sharing the ball very well.
Amare Stoudemire demostrated amazing powerful dunks, one of the dunks you can see in the photo.
The best player of the Mavs was Dirk Nowiztki, having 33 points and 6 rebounds.
This was a close win, even against the team, which is on his way to the victories, so we can explain the loss.
But we can't justify 3 consecutive losses, so the team will be at the highest presure in next game.
Next game for the Mavericks against Sacramento Kings at American Airlines Center.
Sacramento are having 11-12 record at the moment and stands 10th in the WEST.

1ST VICTORY AFTER 3 CONSECUTIVE LOSSES

March 15, 2007
American Airlines Center, Dallas

Image

Dallas Mavericks won against Sacramento Kings after 3 consecutive losses and still have chances to be the first team in the WEST.
This was an easy game for the Mavs, team took the lead in the 2nd quarter and didn't let Kings to close the score.
Dirk Nowitzki shined in this game scoring 37 points, also rebounding 6 balls, shooting with excellent percentage from 2.
15 of his 16 shots were accurate, only 3 missed attempts from the 3 point line. Adding 7 made free throws, here is 37 points.
The best helper for Nowitzki was Josh Howard, scoring 26 points and playing very versatile game with 5 more rebounds and 5 assists.
From the Kings need to mention that none of the players didn't score lot of points, Wells had team high 17 points.
Artest had only 13 points, too poor game for him. Mike Bibby added 15 points and 6 assists. Rookie Ibeabuchi had 4 points from the bench.
Sacramento Kings complicated their chances to go through playoffs, but still have chances to go here, if they play well.
Next game for the Mavericks against Chicago Bulls at United Center. Chicago are having 12-9 record at the moment.

MAVERICKS SUFFER THE LOSS AGAINST HUNGRY BULLS

March 20, 2007
United Center, Chicago

Image

Chicago Bulls were too hot for the Mavericks, as they didn't manage to take the victory at United Center.
This victory for Chicago Bulls was very important for running into playoffs and they almost clinched the spot.
Former Maverick Jason Terry killed Mavs with 31 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.
Benched Gordon had an amazing night shooting with 100% from the field and had 25 points.
The best player at the Mavs was Dirk Nowiztki with 31 points and 9 rebounds, Stackhouse added 17 from the bench.
Chicago was leading first too quarters, but then Mavs started to play more concentrated and closed the lead.
But at the end of the game it was unlucky, Dirk missed last 3 pointer and Mavs suffered 7th loss this season.
Now Mavericks will have more than 1 month rest and at the end of April will play one game against Seattle.

Hey Marquis...(I see you haven't capped your last game...so I'll wait to do your shout out after the last game...) For the playoffs since it definitely looks like you're going into there, PLEASE keep your tstat and pstat file and the end of your playoff run as we're going to do something new on liveGMC utilizing those two stat files...Hollinger-ized.

Good going on your dynasty I'm impressed whenever somebody clocks in two dynasty seasons!

What results do you expect from this team, who added Ben Wallace and Larry Hughes to the team? But yeah 3rd place is weird for them :)

Hope Utah will do better next season

Well yes, he was doing very well, but I think the team got the player who gives more benefit than Terry.

YOUNGSTERS LED MAVS, BUT LOST AT THE END OF THE GAME

April 28, 2007
American Airlines Center, Dallas

Image

This was the last match for the Mavericks in this season and coach led to rest for the leaders of the team.
Dirk Nowitzki didnt play, Josh Howard played only 4 minutes, so rookies had their chance to play longer than usual.
And Anani Hughes used his time very perfectly, scoring 27 points and demonstrated beautiful dunks, you can see one in the picture.
Team played very well in the first half and at the 3rd quarter were leading by 20 points, but then Seattle started to play fantastic.
They closed the lead to 7 points, and at the 4th quarter they were almost unstoppable, they scored 41 points at the last quarter.
Allen, Ridnour and Lewis were killing with 3 pointers. This trio had amazing scoring games. Allen had 35 points, 18 in the last quarter.
Lewis added 24, and Luke Ridnour had 29 points and amazing number of assists - 15, and was anounced as the player of the game.
Mavericks ended the season with 21 wins and 8 losses, and will stand 4th at the WEST. Their opponent will be obvious after some other games.
Houston Rockets are the main candidates to get the 5th place and face Mavericks in the first playoffs round.
