Why 8 seeds will never beat a 1 seed ever again.

The 1st seed has an unfair advantage against an 8th seed. This is also shown in other series this year too. The refs give these "great" teams calls that they wont give to the underdog. If your team is going against Miami, Spurs, Pistons, Mavericks, and other top teams, you wont win the series. Wade, Ginolbili, Rip, and other stars will get calls, touch calls, and their opponent will get no love. Ginobili can flop and get the call, but then someone on the kings can drive to the hoop, get hit, no call. Its just ridiculous! Wade can foul a guy and only sometimes he will get called for it, same with Rip. But yet these great defensive players can slap and hit their opponent all game and get no calls. Its easy to be a great defender if you can slap a person to death without getting called for a foul. I wanted to see a good game this year in the playoffs. But all i see are teams that are supposed to win get calls for them, pussy calls, and their opponents have to play nearly a perfect game to win because they are at a disadvantage. Now this doesnt happen all game long, they like to pick their spots, so its not very noticable. But its annoying as hell. This is why you will never see an 8 seed beat a 1 seed ever again. Players like Ginobili, Wade, and Rip are the ones i have noticed the most.

And because 8 seeds are not as good as 1 seeds.

Refs have always given superstars 'superstar treatment'. Jordan got it, Pippen got it, etc.

I don't like it, but it isn't a new trend.

and thats why there is 7 games in a series. Either way, the better team will win the series in the end.

Of course, Jordan was the Touch Foul king.... he could kill a guy on the court and only get a technical foul. Its really annoying though because the bulls can beat the heat, but their stars dont get the calls a wade and shaq do. This isnt a popularity contest, if Nocioni or Gordon got star treatment the bulls would be up 2-0.

That's why you have to elevate your game so that this favouratism doesn't become a factor.

I think Miami is usually on the bad side of the calls actually. Whatever they may give D-wade is taken away in the numerous bad calls made against Shaq all year long.

What are you going to do if there is a 8th seeds that beats the 1st seedin the future, will you jump down a building, recording the whole process down and ask someone else to post it here to show us??

Come on, that's not always the case. Even Kobe can get superstar treatment. And besides, the refs are human so it's natural for them to make mistakes.

One more thing, based on their game 2 effort, I think the Kings can match up very well with the Spurs especially if they have Artest and an Arco Arena crowd.

On the Bulls and Heat series, how can the Bulls get the calls if they take too many jumpshots? Their points in the paint tells the whole story.

My point isnt that the refs sometimes make bad calls, my point is that some players get special treatment, and its not fair. Like Tyson Chandler sucks, but he just tries to hold shaq off from backing him down and dunking on him and he gets called for fouls when there really arent any. I hate when i see Rip constantly hitting his opponent, putting his arms all over the guy, and no call, like its normal to guard a guy like that. Ginobili is a flop machine, and gets alot of touch calls his way. Im just tired of seeing these stars get ticky-tack fouls called, yet a non star can get hammered and no call.

Thats why Orlando pushed a solid Pistons team to 7 games in 03. No chance huh.

a number 8 seed will beat a number 1 seed once they bring it back to a 5-7-7-7 playoff format....the last major 1-8 upset was Nuggets over Sonics in '94....my memory might be failing me, but didn't the Knicks beat Heat in a 1-8 upset in '99 on their way to the NBA Finals?!? if so, that wasn't a grand scale upset as Knicks were a lot better than a number 8 seed....once they got healthy & on a run, they were good to go....

but it will happen, gotta support the underdog (Y)

thats like saying you are going against a guy in a video game where he can use cheats and you cant, and he beats you every time. If they allow these players to get away with that physical D, its just cheating unless they let the other team get away with it too.

I hadn't even noticed that. I ike it too.

And I agree with you about the favortism towards stars being bad. But I also think the officiating in general can be horrendous.

Not true about superstars always getting away with fouls. Jermaine O' Neal's had 4-5 fouls in these 2 first round games.

No it isnt. Its like playing against someone who is so much better than you, they can abuse the bugs in a game and get away with it, because you dont know how to do it.
