can some1 explain to me what is 3rd round picks? I think its just sighing FA, coz on a card i got of Anthony Mason it said he was drafted in 3rd round and on the other card of him it said he was drafted fromFA? o

The NBA Draft used to have more than 2 rounds. In 1984, they were holding 10 round drafts. In 1985 they cut it to 7 rounds, then 3 rounds in 1988. Finally they cut it back to 2 rounds in 1989.

yeh, i remember reading somewhere that the chicago bulls drafted carl lewis in the draft :lol: yes that carl lewis

I believe the Bulls also selected Butch Hays (who played a few seasons for the Newcastle Falcons) in the 10th round in 1984. I don't think many players past the second round actually ever made the NBA though. Anthony Mason, Spud Webb and Mario Elie are the only ones that I can recall offhand.
