Sweet rookie recaps! Interesting that Chicago's Small Forward leads them in blocks, but rookies sometimes get weird ratings I guess.

I hate the Spurs so I hope they slip up and YOU get the 1st pos in the league, and they get 4th!! Just hope you can get there with all the injury worries you've been having.

Yeah, Atlanta signed only crap players, like Devin Brown and Rodney Bufford

Thanks. EA rookies always have some kind of stupid ratings

Yeah my main purpose in the regular season is to get 1st position in the West, so the Spurs would fall to 4th place, I would like it :)

STRONG SECOND HALF LED MAVS TO ANOTHER VICTORY

February 2, 2007
American Airlines Center, Dallas

Image

Dallas Mavericks have won another victory, now against Hornets, but still remain behind the San Antonio, which are having 18-2.
The game started poorly for Mavs, as they didn't play well on offense and were struggling on defence too, letting to storm for Mason.
But the second half showed, that Mavericks are much more stronger and they came away with the victory deservedly.
Dirk Nowitzki was on fire with 28 points and 4 rebounds, so he was anounced as the player of the game.
Howard added 18 points, Harris has made his job assisting the ball perfectly, while Daniels was great at defence.
Hornets played as the whole team, as none of the players didn't scored more than 15 points, but they were tired at the end of the game.
Smith had 15 points, rookies Ballard and Hendrix combined for 14 points, another rookie from Malaysia Haji Iwanaka scored 13 points.
Hornets reduced the chances to make playoffs, while Mavericks proceeded the fight for the 1st place at West against Spurs.
Next game for the Mavericks against Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum. Memphis are having 9-9 record at the moment.

Nice win over the Hornets, wow that dunk by Desmond Mason looks nice.
But I have to say, the Hornets Roster is really weak, I dont think we´ll see em in the playoffs.
And Dirk is on fire !!

paahh, Ima lil bit disapointed with the Hornets GM ;) , the Kandiman as starting center and 3 rookies in double digits ...

Yeah that dunk by Mason over Harris is sick
Hornets had bad offseason in my opinion, they traded Paul for that Malaysian guy, shooting the 3 in the pic. And with all cap space they had they only signed Olowokandi
They are now 8-14 and they probably won't see the playoffs :)

26-3 would be nice, but I think it wouldn't be very realistic. The main problem that Spurs are going 18-2, better than me, so I need to catch them

GRIZZLIES WITHOUT GASOL NOT ABLE TO WIN

February 14, 2007
FedEx Forum, Memphis

Image

Dallas Mavericks faced with Grizzlies in the FedEx Forum. Pau Gasol was unable to play, because of the injury on January 28.
So Mavs underrated Grizz and played very unorganixed, when Stoudamire and Battier were killing with decent shots.
But later Mavs concentrated on defence and gained the lead, which was held to the end of the game.
Josh Howard had team high 27 points, also with 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Dirk added 25 with good shooting skills.
Chandler was doing his job defensively, Harris passing the ball. Jerry Stackhouse returned from the injury and had 3 points.
The best fighter at the opposite team was Shane Battier with 30 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 12-21 from the field.
Grizzlies' frontcourt looked really poor, as Tsakalidis and Cardinal started the game, because Gasol is injured.
Damon Stoudamire added 20 points, Warrick 14 from the bench. Miller had two 3 pointer and 10 points.
Next game for the Mavericks against Los Angeles Lakers at American Airlines Center.
Los Angeles are having 13-11 record at the moment.

Good, but close win.
Pretty decent game by Battier and Josh Howard, cool that Dirk isn´t your topscorer all the time. ( I had a short Dynasty with Mavs ended when Dirk was injured for over 7 weeks  , well he averaged 30+ points, although I like to keep it realistic.)

So keep it on, looking forward to your next game, Kobe visiting you, could be hard to defend.

hova-, you right, it becomes boring when Dirk is always top scorer in the game. Lakers game will follow after all-star weekend, soon all the participants..

Anthony15, Thierry², thanks

Shing, I also like games when Howard is playing well.

Hey man, that's a good idea - my dynasty all-star game is coming up and I need tips how to cover the event!

I hope atleast Dirk gets the starting West lineup! And maybe the 3pt crown again! But all-star selections are always a bit weird in NBA Live, like how Mike Dunleavy always makes the game

Can't wait for update! I'll be watching 8-)

edit: cool logo too!

I have played all the events yet, but Dirk didn't get into the starting 5 lineup, at least he was the 12th man of the WEST lineup

Yeah all-star selections are always weird, but it is EA, what do you expect

If you need tips just PM me

Tonight rookies will accept the challenge from sophomores. Tonight we will see which class of the rookies is stronger: 2006 or 2005 year's.
Team leading by the number of players sent to this event is Portland Trail Blazers: rookies Mattias Tomsa, Quint Hamilton, and sophomore Ha seung-Jin.
Raptors have Joey Graham and Charlie Villanueva, Celtics have Howie Blain and Gerald Green, Bucks have Ira Clayton and Andrew Bogut.
This year rookies are very strong, because all the players average double digits in scoring, and if we look at the stats thay are stronger than previous years's rookies.
From this year's rookies need to mention 2 centers, who were drafted 39th and 40th overall, but they are playing very well and now participating in the rookie challenge.
High point man of this event is rookie Mattias Tomsa, who is averaging over 20 points per game. Deron Williams from Sophomores is a bit behind, averaging 20 points per game.
The eldest player is rookie Howie Blain from Boston Celtics with 25 years and the youngest player is sophomore Gerald Green also from Boston Celtics with 21 years.
