That's not true...
Guards can shoot the 3 which usually bumps up the eFG and true FG (Not exactly for Yao since he shoots 84% from the line), they usually have a higher usage rate since they have the ball in their hands more and can jack up shots, should assist and steal more, etc. There're trade-offs to everything.
