CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's probably the last thing Larry Brown wants to hear from Stephon Marbury, but last night the point guard said his efforts to change his game have not produced positive results and he is planning to go back to being Starbury -- the shoot-first, attack-the rim, 20-point-a-game scorer who has been a missing person this year.

I have to add that he said that BEFORE losing to the Bobcats. Yes, he trully is a NY great.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 12:14 am
at least the knicks will be more bearable to watch
Mon Mar 13, 2006 12:17 am
That's true. And there's a good chance that Nate, Starbury, Francis and Brown will to the death one of these days, which is always a plus.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 12:19 am
I wonder how Brown stands that guy.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 12:43 am
This is one of the reasons the Knicks suck so bad.
Attitudes like that.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 12:55 am
wow. highest payroll and worst team in nba. also 1st round draft pick was traded.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 12:56 am
They are really fucked, thats for sure. Marbury needs to go elsewhere, Francis too. Same with Crawford, Rose and pretty much everyone cept Curry, Frye and Nate.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 12:59 am
Perhaps Isiah thinks he's working for the Bulls. Not only he did them a favor with taking Crawford and Curry, he also gave them 2 goddamn picks. If they have another season like that next year (which I seriously doubt), Bulls are gonna be in good position to get Oden.

pretty much everyone cept Curry, Frye and Nate.
I wouldn't want Curry either. He's got a monster contract, he's slow, a piss poor rebounder, unathletic, fumbles the ball in the paint, seemingly borderline overweight, turnover prone and lacks effort and the work ethic to improve himself.
So I would take off Curry in that list and add.... None other than Qyntel Woods.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:03 am
Yes, dogs love him.

I know what Isaiah is trying to do with the Knicks. He want to get LeBron in Free Agency after next Season
Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:13 am
Yeah, you're right. He'll sign for MLE or they'll do a sign a trade - LBJ for Marbury and Crawford. I bet Lebron hardly waits to play for Brown and the rest of the NY Crips.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 3:16 am
i don't blame marbury, he tried fitting in brown system, it has turned into a diaster. at this rate they won't see 20 wins which is sad. When your the talk of the town because you won 2 in a row you know something is wrong.
I wouldn't be suprised if Brown benched Marbury for this. Heck, put him on IR, put francis at point and nate back him up

Yeah my friend told me that theory that Isiah wants LeBron in NYC and I told him what I'm telling you guys, if the Knicks get LeBron I would be amazed if they get 10 wins.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 4:46 am
Hey, I don't mind, they were winning more than this with Starbury...
Mon Mar 13, 2006 5:15 am
I can't stand Marbury... he's so egotistical.. and he cant back it up. Every time he's interviewed he proclaims that he's the best PG in the league... what a crock of shit, he deserves to be on the shittiest team in the league.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 5:15 am
I'm starting to bite the theory about how players are the one that make great coaches and not the other way around..

not sure if it's ego this time, "starbury" was winning way more than brownbury
Mon Mar 13, 2006 6:59 am
Marbury should be runin for the shittiest PG in the league.
He gets my vote
Mon Mar 13, 2006 7:04 am
ugh marbury, i used to think he was great, but in the past couple years.. meh
Mon Mar 13, 2006 7:16 am
marbury isnt going to be having much fun in new york....
Mon Mar 13, 2006 7:23 am
if Mike D'Antonie(spelling) coached the knicks, where do you think they'll be
francis, marbury, crawford frye and curry on a high octane offense, doesnt' sound soo bad
and imagine marbury/francis getting enuf shots and they're all in transitions, that would INCREASE their career #'s...
Brown is...
Mon Mar 13, 2006 8:23 am
Yea, but D'Antoni is not coaching the Knicks, and Brown doesn't like that kind of nonsense, so too bad so sad.
Mon Mar 13, 2006 8:51 am
Its not even like Marbury has won much playing his style of ball.
